Honesty is not an excuse to turn a blind eye to a behaviour which many of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies have said is invalid from a lore perspective, cuts deeper than other IC interactions due to it’s real-world ties, and generally makes for unpleasant and uncomfortable roleplay overall.
If five thousand posts of back and forth over this shalln’t convince you then I doubt anything ever will.
Then again, the only time I’ve seen you in-game involved you complaining to other RPers in /e, so personally I don’t take your opinions on roleplaying etiquette all too seriously.
Well, I apologise that it’s the only time we’ve met then. I only become vocal when I have an issue, however.
As I’ve said before though, there is the option of simply not engaging, and even reporting if you feel that strongly against it.
What I think doesn’t have to reflect on what you think, and that’s perfectly fine with me. The hobby has to ultimately be fun for everyone.
So if the fun stops, do something I find myself incapable of doing, stop and cease interacting with those who make you feel uncomfortable to be around is my advice here.

Or we make a stand against something which has no right being in the game and any “pros” (People wanting to make the most unpleasant character possible) are far, far outweighed by the denial of escapism that introducing homophobic elements into roleplay brings.
Simply put: No. Don’t just walk away. Don’t just say “this isn’t for me” as if it’s a matter of just not feeling the particular roleplay that you’re in when this runs far deeper - this isn’t something which is okay and it shouldn’t just be given a free pass.
This is the thing, though. If you provide apologia for bigotry (“it’s okay if…” is apologia), you will become known as the kind of person who defends bigotry.
If you don’t like that, that’s a shame for you.
The way that we do that is to make clear that bigotry has no place in our community. Not IC, not OOC, not ever.
