Void and Light in itself are opposite forces, are they not. Hence should there be some kind of opposite reaction.
They are forces who Hurt each other upon contact, or should at least.

By that argument, it should destroy the user, as Void elves in their nature are void addled creature, judging by that logic, Casting Light should misfire and damage the Void elf. Backfire kind of thing

Now that is something that simply does not make. Opposite forces have an opposite reaction, like most elements of that nature, you cant combine them in the sense of physics.
Its not an argument, if Light touches void it will Hurt it and vice versa, been said in lore, but the priest spell dont toich them then should be fine

It’s not that the opinion differs, but that the opinion doesn’t change regardless of what information is presented. No matter how many times it was shown that homophobia in RP is bad for the game and the LGBTQ+ community, nobody moved an inch. Wanting to distance yourself from somebody who refuses to listen to something which would benefit people is not the same as going “I disagree with you, therefore you are now cancelled, bye Felicia” etc etc.

But where does the magic come from. It must manifest within the caster in a metaphysical sense. So, by that logic, the Light magic should be out of the realm of possibility for Void elves.

The only people who got “canceled” were people who blizz deemed in breach of the ToS. It’s perfectly viable to have a debate about the matter without trying to lowkey, knowingly or otherwise, shield homophobia online as some thing people should just “get used to”.

By this view you agree with me as disc priest has a proc for Penance that infuses shadow into this otherwise Light based attack.
