Homophobia in rp needs to cease

Nope, of neither morseth and kras homphobia, or my suppoused involment with them.

Guess we will never know if he was telling lies or not.

I guess we never will no. I mean, it seems rather common lately to shout “I have proof, I have screens” yet when asked for them, they suddenly seem to forget where they left them

Agreed, funny how he didn’t bother to try and show them to me, only said he had them, oh well.

Gn folk, I will be muting the thread, and advise you to do the same.

Probably in the same place I left my algebra homework years ago.

All sides are guilty of this.

Damn dogs eating stuff all the time.

I already knew that Vax, no need to spell it out for me.

Anyhow, as others said, most points have already been brought up, and we came to the conclusion that thankfully most people dont find homophobia in rp okay. Thread can gracefully ease into obscurity now.

I have loads of proof that Desartin is literally the evilest person alive
However, I will not show anyone this proof.

Haha just kidding, you can DM me anytime (as you know I am in AD/D discord) and explain what you are referring to so you can get your information first hand instead of tumblr blogs

I may not like the PCU for a number of my own reasons. But i do know that Perroy has no stick for bullying and OOC hate. He has on a few occasions in the past been pretty fair to talk to about these issues, although i will say with a friend of mine not me. I wasn’t an officer then so take this with a pinch of salt. As it’s second hand knowledge.

I’ll put it as simply as I can, as a big paladin main.

Compassion & Respect. No place for homophobes in my book.

Mental health is so fragile, thankfully once on the correct dosage of medication, AD forums are a piece of cake. Your post is rather in poor taste and was obviously not meant out of concern, yet another shining example of the AD community. You should be more concerned about the thread topic than trying to dig at me.

I’m so confused

Mental health is important & its good to hear that things are better/you’re in a better place with that. I don’t mean this in any mean-spirited way when I say that some past situations did seem to come from a dark/bad place at the time.(Not going to elaborate on these either since I think everyone involved are already aware and it wouldnt contribute anything either.) I don’t think this excuses them or that being a fragile state should, but it does explain why. And hopefully will also not have those situations happen again either!

While I’m very advocating for the forums not needing to be a place where someone needs “thick skin” to post, when struggling or being fragile, they are still best left for another day/time, speaking from my own experiences as well. It’s easy to get caught up on things, its easy to fall out of line & get snappy when it’s just text & end up in a sour mood because of this. And from there, especially when being in a bad place it can get very bad.

Ultimatly though, we should all try to think a bit that there are people on the other side of the screen/behind the avatars & contribute to a better/more nicer atmosphere. I know its easy to make jabs and snipes at people a person disagrees with heavily or disslike and ive done/do that myself sometimes, but we can do better all of us still that.

I also dont mean for this to be some odd centrism stand, I still strongly believe that some things should definatly not be acceptable & questioned/called out, such as the homophobia we’ve talked about in both threads already!

Overall: We can all be a little nicer when have the chance.

Also no homophobia.

With some of y’all I’m not surprised!

While a little clunky in expression you are fundamentally right, just because someone roleplays something does not mean they hold that belief to heart or go out of their way to do that in a real world setting, as I have mentioned several times already.

One can be a green-skin hating human, that does not make one inherently a racist person offline.
One can have (relative to our world) dated views on gender roles and image, that does not make one a misogynist/misandrist.
One can be a bloodthirsty marauding genocidal undead monstrosity. That doesn’t mean you’re a fascist in real life.
So it goes to say that if you play someone who has a dislike for same-sex relationships that does not make you homophobic in real life.

Goodness, as a gay man myself I play a couple of straight characters who dislike same-sex “deviancy” (to use the term I use in character for them), am I suddenly now somehow an evil homophobe?

Of course not.
