You’re not wrong. Ogrimmar definitely needs a major update. It’s suppposed to be a well secured fortress.
Look where our portal room is kept, absolutely pathetic. You’d think they’d have ideas after Siege of ogrimmar.

The Alliance - any of its incarnations- , that only exist because of the Horde and since the opening of the Dark Portal were reactors, instead of agressors?
Maybe deep down you feel the Horde should be destroyed, but nothing actually support your paranoia…
Suceed in what?
Bulding better cities?
Live in peace and prosper?
Since the Third War, the Horde goal was survival and only wanted to be left alone (and time to time, atone for the sins of the past) , not to destroy, conquer and wage constant wars
There is no Horde race - except the Vulpera and the Zandalari - that was not on the brink of extinction in the past few decades and not on the top of Azeroth’s most endagered species list
Okay, I get it, you hate the Horde with passion and want it to be destroyed ,but that is not he way… peace is always an option, especially if you want to replenish the numbers, build cities, have a culture, advance technologically and socially, recapture the past glory or reconect with your ancestral roots and basically climb back from the edge of extinction
Peace was never an option. Baine and Thrall are traitors. Once the weakness is purged we will continue the war and do to the humans and their allies what they did to the gnolls and trolls. No mercy. No justice. No escape. No hiding. We will end it once and for all.
Have you seen troll and ogre cities?
Also; I’d love Tauren on the alliance, honestly.
And finally:
They HAVE cities that fit their respective fantasies.
Sorry.
Not my point though, It seems you dont like cities like Orgrimmar or Thunder Bluff, but like ones more conventional and usual places like Stormwind and Silvermoon, perhaps you are Alliance by heart and you dont know it. Hehe
zuldazar looks good but is bad. pyramid is literally facing the wrong way.
The actual city is 2 streets.
stormtotem haha.
anyway cata orgrimmar sucks
The Orc horde arent even meant to have major cities. They raze everything and move on. Of course they are going to not care about looks.
They already admitted spending to much time on SW and Elwynn forest and forgot about deadlines when they made it.
Rexxar returning to the Horde a powrful and old Half-Ogre that came through the Dark Portal with the first Horde. Gaining strength in Necromancy and Undeath. Bwonsamdi another source of Necromancy.
Economic boost as the Zandalari are a very race. The Alliance are not thieves and are only there to put down Rhastakhan.
Expansion of the plagued territories. Possible Alliance secrets from the pow - wow with those that followed Saurfang as they simply returned to the rest of the Horde.
Fear of the Horde by those that have not yet encountered them.
Destruction of an Alliance city Teldrassil. Denying the living Lordaereons their home city and nation keeping it in the hands of the scourge / forsaken.
Fulfilment of their plans. Sylvannas plan to cut the heads of the Alliance leadership was a success. She just did not account for Jaina Proudmoore.
Having enough Horde for relatively quick rebuilding and replenishment of ranks.
The “refugees” are already Undead so they will not tax the living in terms of feeding and take care of Forsaken civilians and refugees.
An unforgiveable crime that must be punished.
Dude. You have no arguments. All Horde cities except Silvermoon are trash. Already proven to you.
That is none of the Horde’s business.
Time and time again I told you that the under the reign of Rhastakhan the Zandalari Trolls were not part of the Horde. Different monarch different regime. It was Queen Talanji that brought the Zandalari under the Horde.
Silvermoon is half a city. The Blood Elves have no intention of rebuilding.
Already mentioned Surumar city. StormTotem. Zulduzar.
But it is inconvenient. Horde architects lack imagination.
Eitrigg did challenge Trollbane but Horde bases have their own designs.
It is. He was the greatest leader since Dazar. And the Horde failed to protect him. Zandalar should have rejected the Horde after realizing they will never get their revenge on Jaina. And Talanji is no queen. She is rejected by her people for her weakness.
Because Blizzard is too lazy to spend resources on it.
Just the nighthold.
Thunder Totem is no city.
A massive pyramid and lots of empty space.
Doomhammer was better.
Excuses excuses excuses.
Does not change the fact that the Zandalari Trolls were their own independent powers and nation. So whatever happened before their enrolment to the Horde is none of the Horde’s business. The Zandalari simply paid the consequences for their attack on a global superpower.
The other half of Silvermoon could be rebuilt by the High Elves or Void Elves.
Surumar is more than the Nighthold. It’s a city built into the coast line. A massive area under the control of the Horde. There were literally Horde moving their stuff into Surumar.
A golden city of an extremely wealthy Trolls. Oh poor Horde all of that money would make it sooo difficult for the Horde to rebuild and replenish their ranks - economies and infrastructre.
It’s not a popularity contest. but Horde resources in generals as well as contributions made to the Horde.
Lillian Voss also broke neutrality and joined the Horde. Even became part of the leadership of the Forsaken.
So stop lying that the Horde gained nothing from the Battle for Azeroth.
Say no more fam. This is a proper Erevien thread.
Just the truth. Alliance bias has poisoned the lore long enough. It is time to end it.
To be honest all cities besides stormwind suck from an RPers perspective.
bit weird to see people making statements like well horde has no culture or well thats what you get for being warlike;
its provably not for being warlike, Undercity is the only current city that represents the aftermath of conflict.
Orgrimmars overhaul was in Cata’s prepatch so before the war stuff of the first patch.
Thunderbluff hasn’t been changed since classic and just looks old and dated.
Senjin isle is not a city, it’s a starter zone, just like valley of trials is.
Silvermoon city hasn’t been touched since TBC, hell those fel crystals are still floating about while they have been gone for a long time in the lore now.
Goblins can’t even reach theirs anymore (and honestly so can’t worgen sure and yes both of these are a travesty)
So to claim that the horde cities are this way because of war; no, not at all. Only Undercity is.
As for claiming that horde has no culture, you really should consider reading the actual lore there, there’s so much wrong with this statement I can’t even be bothered to pick out a place to start at.
If you feel alliance cities need love too then you know instead of going after the person asking for love for horde cities; just state what you’d want for your alliance ones.
So you want more orcs drinking tea in fancy cafe`s .
Face it elf , you joined the savagers faction . Even if orcs were drinking tea , they would do it in loincloth , holding an exiting conversation over who’s zug was ziged better or something .
Expecting from the horde to build something more than a toilet is unrealistic . Come to think of it , I haven’t even seen a single toilet in Orgrimmar . Undead basically live in the crap of other people , tauren crap off a cliff and orcs probably crap where they sleep . They also seem to enjoy it this way .
Overall yea…
Yes this is 100% exactly what everyone here has been talking about
Well done chap, you cracked the code.
This is a very long thread just to conclude that the Alliance welcomes all players who faction swap because we absolutely do have the more appealing and aesthetic cities.
Come join us! The faction barrier has never been less problematic
Yes they are the smallest of the jungle trolls. And yes alot of jungle trolls live in zul gurub. But what you are forgetting is that the trolls in zul gurub would exterminate the darkspear tribe if they get the chance.
There is a reason they had to run from stranglethorn vale. Hell after that they only survived because thrall had to rescue them from murlocs of all things. Gnomeregan might be huge but the gnomes did not recapture it at all and its still a irradiated mess. So the trolls starting a village on the isles and recapping it with their tiny numbers is a huge W compared tohow the alliance failed in gnomeregan
The Horde did that twice already, still failed both times, give it up dude…
It’s a two-faction game, so no, your precious Horde is never going to destroy the Alliance.
