Things really haven’t been good for the Alliance for a long time, I’m not sure why they introduced the Hall of Fame with a faction divide at a time he Alliance were already suffering.
I hope we see the back of it in Dragonflight and we just have one list, with cross realm it should just be teams to complete regardless of what faction they are made up of.
Only 9 slots taken on the Alliance side… How on Earth did a company the size of Activision let the faction imbalance get this bad!?
Technically not imbalance in population! But in what content players are after. :c
There’s absolutely a population imbalance. Latest estimates put it at around 63.74% Horde to only 36.25% Alliance in US and 64.07% H to 35.93% A in EU
The problem became that regardless of what racials may be stronger (technically Alliance currently have the stronger ones) people went where the bigger player pool was. Guilds slowly started migrating to Horde and today we have far less Alliance guilds than Horde ones.
I really hope Blizzard sort out cross faction guilds, because many who went Horde to be able to do the content they wanted would far prefer doing it on Alliance races.
I really hope they make guilds as well and not only that you can raid because that won’t solve a problem. Officers and GMs will still require people to be within the same guild to some degree, making horde still favorable.
It was mentioned in one of the interviews. That they may look into it. I really hope they do because communities are a very poor imitation of guilds IMO.

Good example how stupid players are. There never was a real reason for millions of players to migrate between factions. Still people think so.
Of course there was, guilds that they wanted to join were the other faction.

It will have went exactly as they wanted. People constantly paying for faction and server changes will have made them tons of money at no effort.
They cost more than store mounts and transmogs, which actually require effort to design.

The faction imbalance was not that bad in Uldir since Alliance lagged behind by 2 weeks to fill their wall but now, I quite expect X realm being oppened before the Alliance gets to fill in their wall of fame. It’s so sad that an entire faction literraly died during the last couple of expansions…
Blizzard never cared about alliance’s problems. Cross faction is just a patch.

I kinda expect it to be a prepatch feature tbh… use 9.2.5 to test cross faction play… get people back with peepatch with new class and cross faction guilds ect.
I think it’s likely to make them a lot of money in faction changes especially if people can remain in what was a Horde guild but they can go back to being the Alliance Race they were before.
Agreed, I know plenty of people in my guild will go emo elf if it happens… all the druids will go night elf. I know I’ll transfer a few chars…
