Horrific visions a step backwards

So, evidently some people don’t want to play them, or at the very least majority of those who want to play them don’t want to play as a tank/healer.

The majority of WoW players don’t want to play tanks and healers, thats not something only exclusive to M+.

Yes i am doing them for fun.
But blizzard can not just add or remove “fun”.

When you mention rewards it is gear, titles, mounts, whatever. I am not playing M+ since legion for those things. I am playing it because the content is fun.

No.
Well, it’s not the only things I mean when I use the word “reward”. To quote myself:

“Fun” is definitely a “reward”, but “fun” is also subjective, so whenever Blizzard adds or removes something you decide if the result is “fun” or not.

The game isn’t tiresome, it’s the pandering to bad players which is tiresome. It could stop in a heartbeat.

YOU could play sims or palworld and stop ruining an established ip.

Until Dragonflight the game pandered to the top 1% and the game was dying.

Wait what now? Keep me out of this if you’re going to spread misinformation.

No, I’m not a fan of delves, but I’ve been doing them. In both seasons.
I am however, tired of them and keep them to a minimum; 4 per week.

If you thought I didn’t do any because you checked this character:
This is not my main. This is just an alt and I hardly play my alts.

I am behind on my main this season, because I didn’t play for 3 weeks. And I’m not very motivated to gear up because I’m just not enjoying this season very much.

This is my main.

WoW has been “dying” for nearly 20 years. Good one.

But in those years, top players are the one who pushed the game and got more people playing. Not casuals. Even now it’s like Liquid/Echo and M+ streamers/Youtubers that generate hype.

All casuals players do is complain there isn’t enough “easy” content and that they need a new expansion released every week because they only thing they can do is questing and levelling. All casual players are going to do is actually kill the game ruining the gameplay for the core playerbase.

If you want to sub, level cap do all the quests then leave feel free.

I got bored of it pretty fast. I dont hate them but the least Blizz could have done was make vision of Iron Forge and Silvermoon. All of that doesnt take long to make, Blizz staff is too lazy.

Shame that i need to be lv80 to do them, i would have liked to do them at lv70 with no gear rewards, just the meme-mentos to buy the collectibles.

What do you mean by “mythic transmog”? I’m asking because Delves never reward mythic gear.
As for mythic-level gear:
For 4 items, you have to choose between having only heroic gear with the set bonus, or mythic-level items without the set bonus. Also, you only get heroic trinkets—unless you’re playing a spec where the Alchemist’s Stone is at least A or B tier (assuming such a spec even exists).
So 6 out of 15 or 16 slots (depending on whether your spec uses a two-handed weapon or not) are limited to heroic.
Just saying. It’s still pretty awesome, though.

That said, it’s quite the chore. On this character, I’m at iLvl 664, and I think the only thing I missed was the two Gilded Chests in the first week of Season 2. I guess that’s why Blizzard recently increased the rewards—otherwise, we’d still be stuck below 675 by the end of the season. For my taste, it’s too much grind and takes too long.
Obviously, there’s no great solution for raiders and M+ players progressing even faster by doing Delves on the side, which probably is something Blizzard wants to avoid.

I wouldn’t say Horrific Visions are bad per se, and I don’t mind that they’re recycled or what some perceive as timegated.
Actually, I’m one of those who appreciate that not everything is thrown at me all at once. I like to take my time, and I’m still busy with other content.

I’m also fully in favor of reusing content that would otherwise go untouched. Obviously, there’s a limit to how much new content can be produced, so reusing old content adds more variety than would otherwise be possible. I’d rather see less effort spent on the various versions of Classic WoW, which seem mostly abandoned anyway.

All that said, I personally don’t enjoy Horrific Visions. I don’t like the timer and the pressure that comes with it. I don’t enjoy the challenge. I don’t enjoy figuring out optimal routes, or—after 20 years of playing exclusively Alliance—finally learning my way around the Mage’s Quarter. I also have to admit that I generally prefer simple tank & spank encounters. Learning boss mechanics isn’t fun for me, nor is finding out how to remove those 10 stacks of whatever-it-is-that-makes-me-freakin-slow. And my eyesight’s gotten worse making it harder for me to spot the potions easily.

But I acknowledge there are players who enjoy all of that! So I’m not complaining, as long as there’s occasionally content that caters to my preferences too.

I agree that Leaden Feet is a crap affix, it essentially begs you to stay stationary in combat and penalizes you for moving.

Doesn’t help that it is in the Mage Quarter, which is the worst zone to do…

Complete rubbish, I’ve been playing those 20 years. Casuals pay the bills; this game was at its end with shadowland’s. They went from 12 million to less than 1 million because they catered to the 1% for a decade, Dragonflight saved this game and changed all that and war within reinforced that change with focus on the solo, 1/3 player content with friends and world content. Blizzard know this.
They know raiding is dying which is why they are changing it to. they want addons gone because add-ons mean they have to create boring encounters.
Casuals don’t complain because 99% of them never post on a forum this is a statical fact with most games. The ones who complain the most are the 1% and streamers. Casual are the silent majority and they just walk away.
No casuals no game.

Don’t be in combat.

Promised power is equally bad, especially as a melee

Thankfully it isn’t in a zone where it matters.

We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on that. Also it’s less an issue for a ranged class
