Hot Take : Make Heroic raids reward the best gear

No just waiting for a factual and compelling case on why you want mythic track gear when you cant clear a 10 or heroic raids… make it make sence. wait… are you compensating for something? dps issues getting you down?

So just to check, apart from petty insults and random gibberish about you not getting shiny loot, I am still waiting for a good reason as to why you need mythic gear? You are either hiding behind an alt (a coward) or it’s your main, and you just really bad.

So I’ll ask again, why do you need mythic gear to be easier?

if you want to see what this character has to show for then check when it was actually active. look at shadowlands/DF on RIO and compare it to your achievements on your monk. it’s kind of embarrassing to see you just assume you are better than me.

i understand the frusteration that the community has been vocal about. that is the reason i post this suggestion.

its not really about me. scheduling for 20 people and requiring this much commitment and knowledge outside of the raid itself to get the good stuff is not reasonable with the way people engage with games today.

I agree running a guild at the heroic level is hard to get and keep members and thus keep people active, and I even agree with some of your points.

But what I dont agree with is changing the loot system to make gearing any quicker or Easier, your basicly saying you want a nuke to kill a fly its just not needed.

LFR gear is for the crazy people who do LFR I mean why?
Normal gear is for the beginner / normal raiders who are just starting
Heroic gear is for the most of the player base who have played the game for more than one expantion and know there class
mythic gear is for people who want to raid mythic and have years of experance running mythic

I think mythic difficulty represents a fundamental breakdown of how WoW used to, and should, work. It’s just the same stuff we’ve done already, there really isn’t much point.

I’d rather have different raids with different difficulties where we can progress through them and get excited about what comes next instead of having these ultra hard raids that become irrelevant.

I also think there’s a fundamental problem with the mythic raids in that they are so extremely hard that even with BiS gear you’re not really able to complete them without progressive nerfs. Blizzard decided now instead of doing it manually they’re just going to provide a stacking weekly buff, but honestly I don’t think that’s working very well. Mythic raiding generally tends to punish you so severely for a mistake that having more gear doesn’t actually help you all that much.

I think Mythic raids need to be nerfed pretty hard. I think around 2000 guilds worldwide at least should be able to clear it completely, and maybe even more. It’s just a bit too hard - and if it’s made easier, how far is there for it to just be heroic difficulty? That’s something that needs to be evaluated.

But yeah this thing of designing against world first speedrunners is just leaving everybody frustrated imo. Even the world first runners! They’re complaining about it, too!

Meh, why stop there. I say we make LFR drop the best gear, that way the gear is more accesible to everyone.

When story mode expands to the entire raid we can let that drop the best gear.

This is the issue as soon as you change it for one theres 1000 more people wanting it be changed even more

I don’t Mythic raid so uh… yeah. But personally I agree that having something that is the ‘crème de la crème’ of the game in theory, but which targets such a small group of players, and this group only shrinking with time as well, seems rather iffy by now.

It doesn’t bother me, and if people love this mode and will fight tooth and nail to keep it, more power to them, I hope they will. It just strikes me as rather doomed from my perspective with an aging playerbase, not many fresh recruits, players having more responsibilities in the real world etc.

I saw a suggestion somewhere for having challenge modes per boss in Heroic. I thought that was an interesting one.

It would require some raid changes, but you could have it like in Ulduar with Mimiron push a big red button changes the boss to mythic / challange mode. The question is would you have it drop that ilvl of gear?

The Ulduar solution was A TON of fun. One difficulty and you really feel like the bosses actually get enhanced for a logical, immersive reason. It also discourages splitrunning pretty severely, making it essentially impossible for a world first speedrun, and therefore solves their problems and the lower level difficulty problems also.

I dunno, as a mythic raider of 5 years and raid leader for much of that time, I gotta admit I think it was a bit much. All it took was one sleepy guy, even if he was talented, and the whole raid night was wipe after wipe after wipe. You simply can’t outgear much of this stuff. Like, how is gear supposed to help you with a mechanic that 1-shots the entire raid unless you jump off into a pit in the middle exactly 2 seconds before the explosion that then pushes you back up? If one guy out of 6 messes it up it’s just instant death. Healers don’t matter, tanks don’t matter, not even the DPS matters.

That’s not how a game about gear progression is supposed to work, and they do this sort of thing all the time.

I’m terrible with gear and all the upgrade tracks, I never know what drops what haha. I guess Heroic challenge mode could drop the same gear but at a higher upgrade spot? That way you could still somewhat soft nerf the challenge content over time for those who can’t manage challenge mode right away but would have a better shot at it once they upgrade their gear a bit? Something like that? I have no idea, just throwing words at you, sorry lol.

So it was either Maiden or the jailor… My guess Maiden lol fel balls / holy balls am i right xD I mean i get it take Kil’Jaeden that fight was a guild killer I know I was in two that died due to him xD

But theres over tuned and just plain boring, I get it path of least resistance and all that. but at some point all were really talking about when you cut out the rubish is raid balance and what that looks like.

See if your handed everything on a plate, theres no challange you stop caring and can just phone it in but wow isnt ment to be souls like either there needs to be some balance, what we have now is fine and it works, make it to easy and its boring and people just farm it with out caring make it like Kil’Jaeden and people need a year off getting a sun tan xD
