This feedback is from the PTR house testing. A bit too late, but better late than never.
This was very fun, but probably my biggest issue from what I played were the walls. Not only you are restricted to four races, but the color options are very limited as well. I understand that later on we might get more wall types, but for now it would be great if we could, at the very least, get more color customizations for them and an option to remove beams and pillars. I noticed from videos that the latest alpha build introduced a “canvas” wall option that is, well, a blank canvas. I think this is great as it allows a bit more freedom. However, it would be nice to maybe have some wall textures from various races and places that we could use to build our custom walls. Something simple, like a square or a rectangle that repeats seamlessly near one another.
The position and rotation gimbles need different colors based on the axis or something to make them more distinguishable. You don’t know how many times I wanted to rotate an object a certain axis only to pick a different one. Also, we need a way to reset the pivot of the objects to its original position, similar to how 3D modeling softwares can, so we can fine tune the position and angle of things better after we rotated them in our desired way already.
The camera can get awkward sometimes and some places can be hard to see, maybe allow a free cam mode. Also, some objects, like the legion order hall tomes, have a really big hitbox compared to the item itself. The hitboxes on the gimble buttons are not great either.
It would be nice if:
-objects could scale more;
-we could copy and paste the scale and rotation between the same two decor items;
-pause the animation on some items, like banners;
-we could get more lighting sources, maybe some invisible lighting ones, too;
-if lighting sources were brighter, as interiors feel pretty dark right now, even with plenty of windows and torches used;
-we could group items and move/rotate them together;
-there was an undo button;
-the staircases weren’t sooooo big.

Interiors being too dark is a huge annoyance and also a problem. I get my eyes strained quickly unless I basically spam light sources around me while I try to decor the home, which means I have to spend the limited budget of items which can be placed alreadey.
There should be a toggle for global illumination when modifying the interiors where you can clearly see everything as if you were outside and then once you finish, it reverts back to the interiror illumination or you can just decide to have it on or off.
Another thing I noticed is that so far if you try to open a preview of an item before buying it nothing happens but I guess the function will be added later on

Building (heh) on my previous post.
Moving rooms is a pain the butt. There is no way to group multiple rooms and move them all at once, maybe even rotate them so you just have to move them to placeholder locations. This may require new, temporary rooms, so good luck with that if you start exceeding the room budget, which, seems pretty low for the early access. Also, if you want to change or delete the room next to the entry and there are other rooms connected to it, you can’t, unless you are willing to delete everything else as well. I think allowing us to just leave rooms hanging in the “blueprint void” instead of requiring them to be docked to something else at all times would solve both of these issues. If you are worried about players losing rooms, maybe add a button that cycles trough all placed rooms. It would also be nice if we could change the type of a room without deleting and replacing it, even if this would have to remove all of the placed decor in said room.
I can’t believe that this didn’t cross my mid earlier, but staircases are not only too big, but also need to come in different shapes as well, like octogonal.
The Daylight Circle Room and presumably its nighttime counterpart are too expensive for what they are. And while I’m grateful for a skybox type room, it would be nicer if we could use them over other rooms and also have the option to leave empty walls in said rooms. Obviously, I don’t know what technical limitations this would come with this, I’m just giving suggestions.
