How active is the RP on this cluster?

How active is the RP on here? I’ve had a pop in at various times on trial characters and the capital cities seem sorta empty. That could just be the times I’ve checked though. There’s a few forum posts I can see which does indicate there’s at least some roleplay on here. Is it mostly done through private groups or do walk-ups occur a lot?

The realm is very small compared to AD for example, so you are unlikely to meet RPers out in the wild. Walk-up RP is not really a thing, but we got a couple fun and active guilds! Depending on what characters you have, personally I recommend the Beastmaw Warband (military-esque old-school Horde vibe), the Hand of the Titans (neutral peacekeeping guild), the Convocation of Elrendar (elves!) and the Night Gryphon (adventuring Alliance vibe). Join any of these and you are guaranteed to have a good time.

I’ve moved from AD to SGC around late WoD and never looked back, myself.

Active enough that you still get the very same AD mentality from some folk, but dead in the water enough that people stick to their safe havens/respected RP guilds.

Welcome, hope you find a comfy home! 8)

Walk-ups are generally not a thing, sadly. I’ve only managed to catch people RPing once, two elves and an orc in Orgrimmar! I tried to join but was abruptly dismissed, somewhat rudely. I think people here just aren’t used to it. Your best bet is to join a guild if you want RP. Generally speaking, the quality is much higher than on servers like AD and such (in my very subjective personal experience, naturally), but people are also a lot more invested and will expect the same of you. Unless you join a casual guild, of course!

If you too wish to flee to SGC, I would refer to this thread for active guilds and see if any description suits your taste. It’s up to date as far as I know: [RP] The (New) Roleplay Guild List
