How are Frost DKs?

Never played a DK, I love dual wield classes, Enhancement, fury and outlaw.

Enhancement being my favourite out the 3, fury losing love because too big of weapons on your back and rogue I am not fond of combo building.

I am starting to just hate the squishyness of shamans latley.

Are Frost DKs as fast as enhancement when dpsin?
Also how tanky is a Frost DK on comparison??

Cool! See my char transmog <3

Just think of your enhancement shaman and then tone down literally everything and remove a few things and put it in plate then there ya go, a frost dk.

Yes, Frost DKs are as fast as Enhancement when dpsing, Frost is also the tankiest DPS there is if you play correctly. Damage is slightly higher than Enhancement aswell. We are aids against any caster too. Overall, Frost is decent in 3s, not so good in 2s, and pretty average in RBGs. They are pretty decent in PVE too.

Siffrah is just negative all the time and says the spec is trash when it’s performing quite nice. Yes, Frost DK isn’t designed well, but what class is really? They already said changes are coming, and so far, the changes look good. Let’s hope for more.

Well this is the exact reason I’m testing out a fresh new class, because I know what enhancement used to be like and now it feels meh.

I’ve come from an enhancement shaman, I haven’t delved very far with my DK yet but I’m really loving how it feels.

If you enjoy enhancement as I do, you’ll probably like Frost.

No longer a squish machine?

Nah, literally the tankiest dps in game.

Frost DK is what enhancement need to be, great dps, great healing, 2 stun brakers, absorb shield, stun, (2nd stun if traited in pvp), not so great mobility but can kill the ehancement with full hp 30 ilvs higher.

I shelved my FDK, didn’t like the fact that you were forced to use BoS.

FDK is as squishy - minus healing. I mean you can self-heal with Death Strike but it requires enemy nearby and stacked runic power, and you empty your RP Bar in 2 DS’s.

And FDK is not about dual wielding, it’s all about Breath of Syndragosa and spamming whatever you can as fast as you can in that frame window. That’s basically the gameplay.

Also, DK’s dont have anything like Feral Lounge, you have to run everywhere.

We are talking about 2 completely different modes here, PvP and PvE, Frost is still not as squishy or squishier. Tanky indeed.

I think frost is a bit slower than enha shama, but spells feels much better (imo)
Frost dk is tanky as hell I’d say, plate armor + 10% stamina passive + spammable deathstrike
I think in mythic+ frost dk should outperform enh shama easily, but in raids idk

There is no fixing frost in it’s current state with minor changes, as i have mentioned multiple times before, their current design philosophy for frost is flawed and only serves to have frost dk as one of 2 things: overpowered or useless.

And since we are in no way overpowered right now, we are in effect useless as just about any other class will do what we can do but better, especially with azerite essences.

No, we are not useless. So there goes your overpowered/underpowered argument. Is the class design bland? yea. But the class changes we’ve seen so far are looking positive. I wouldn’t call them minor. More to come.

No, no other class can do what we can do, especially in PvP.

Cya.

Toned down?

Before investing time, i tried to read up on Frost gameplay.

There seems to be even more going on then Enhancement. Enhancement in the end turns in a kind of one button spec,…

So can someone please explain me what makes Frost fun for people that like enhancement.

and just what is this amazing thing we can do exactly? death grip? It’s not really alot to cling to.

Heartstop Aura. Delirium. We are one of the best melee peelers. We have the best cleave burst in the game. AMZ (which Unholy has aswell, but Unholy is quite toned down compared to last season, which means that Frost can actually compete against it.) Not to mention, our Death Grip

So BoS is comparable to shadowpriests voidform as a mechanic?

It’s very identical, the main differene is that you have to be in melee range to use BoS.
