How are Raid ID's gained?

Wednesday, we got a weird bug about raid lockout. Let me explain step by step;

  1. We formed a buff raid with the leader from our guild
  2. We got Onyxia buffs
  3. Some of us headed to MC to safely enter raid and logout inside, to save buff
  4. All early enterers suddenly got raid id ***214, no trash is touched
  5. Original leader was one of early enterers and he got 214 id as well.
  6. Then leadership passed to co-GM since GM was afk saving buff
  7. The people in raid, who entered later got totally different id, 110, without touching trash as well.
  8. Late enterers, 110ers were more than 214ers so 214ers were abondoned :(, 110ers went to raid.
  9. WTF?

Please tell me how could this happen? Do raids save you if you enter? I am absolutely sure I have done trash runs before real guild raids, not getting saved.

The only possible explanation is someone who got 214 id in the raid somehow shared with us. But in no moment people other than GM and co-GM got leadership? Is this a bug so i can pursue for raid id reset via a GM, so I can at least enter a pug?

Yeah also got random raidlock by just visiting MC portal. It was fresh and nothing killed. Now being locked for the rest of the week for no reason. Tried to submit bug and really do hope they will look into this since this denies ‘‘main content’’ for 1 week

I have been trying to open a ticket about this topic for 3 days. The new support page is slow, useless and a waste of time.

I believe this is a bug because I specifically checked with killing trash inside Ony approx. one month ago, and nothing locked me there except killing Onyxia.

Seems like the case for all dungeons, once you enter you create an instance ID. I reset maraudon as a ghost and then after I respawned at purple and hopped out of the dungeon I was able to reset it again.
