How are ya'll feeling about MW right now?

Not really, top rated brewmasters have higher rio than all the bear tanks. Reality not fantasy.

That’s what i am saying, literally in BiS gear and does +14’s but giving other tips how mistweavers suck lol. That guy is just weird. If some veteran Mistweaver commented on this issue, like who clears the whole mythic raid and does +20 keys that would be a valuable opinion. And the guy who commented that he couldn’t do a +9 cause he was a mistweaver should just quit the game.

How is it possible to be this cringe & useless at the same time? You’re not even a good laugh, SMFH.

You’ve had 0 constructive criticisms and yet you go on and on.

Come back when you can backup your MW = EASY > +15 claim with logs. Until then be gone, pest.

Here you go: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1695309998
3/8M, 8/8HC and does +21 keys.
His name in details is “depression” and his rio description is “why am I playing this spec?”

Go and ask him how he feels about MW.

Be gone yourself, +9 key depleter rofl.

All you are is white noise. Nothing more, nothing less.

Pulling stuff out of your bum now, are we? Useless still and now even dumb.

I will no longer engage you. Scream in a pillow or what have you.

They are trying so hard to save face rn nothing you give or provide will help. Just let them echo out.

Mistweaver needs a few changes to become viable. Unfortunately the changes to the right side of our talent tree will very likely not have any impact.

Some abilities need to have throughput buffs in non-raid environments (something Revival is already getting), or our mastery needs to be reworked to actually allow us to AoE heal. All we have is padding, we have no actual potent AoE heals outside of cooldown windows. And since we lack healing in raids as well, I’d argue that we just need a buff to make mastery trigger from more sources. For example, having every Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick and Rising Sun Kick trigger a Gust of Mists at reduced effect on Renewing Mist targets.

That, and of course fistweaving needs to become smart healing, but that ‘fix’ alone won’t make us viable.

I agree and also the mana management required for MW monk is insane. You have to get into the mindset that a single enveloping mist in a raid is going to cost you later on in the fight. MW has never been a single target healer, that’s fair, but I don’t understand how can you just live with these mana costs. Eveloping mist is already pretty weak cosidering it heals over time. The fact that EF is only worth with TFT because of how slow it heals should be a clear indication that something is wrong with this throughput healer.

I actually forgot about this, but we also NEED to get some raid/shared utility.

Resto Shaman / Preservation Evoker? Bloodlust.
Holy Paladin / Restoration Druid? Combat res.

What do we get? Nothing. Completely and utterly worthless to the party. Priests have the same issue, but Priests (at least Holy) are the tutorial healing class and top HPS by drooling on the keyboard; we don’t do that either. Disc struggles with us in M+ (perhaps only because Holy is insanely strong in the hands of someone with 70 IQ), but they’re still godlike in raids.

Kick, aoe stun, ring, para, 8% more heal aura… Ehm actually WTF

I’m talking about the shared utility; edited the post to clarify. Every group ‘needs’ a bloodlust and combat res. We bring neither. The utility you just mentioned tends to be useless on 90% of boss fights, and everyone gets their own niche utility.

I do enjoy you mention the 8% heal “aura” (10 yards, btw), considering even with that boost we lack behind other healers who do not have it.

Sorry to say but priest have not the same issue like MW monks. Ofc they have less utility like the other healers but PI, Raid buff, Hymn, damage reduction, shield etc. makes them still worth.

DR is the only raid utility that mattered throughout the entire SL in mythic raiding, and DF has a couple of burst phases as well.
There were some rumors that druid and monk will have higher throughput to compensate for their lack of aura mastery, anti magic zone and similar effects, but that turned out to be fake news.

Personally I’m not a fan of OP 1 button abilities, but in case you’re wondering why MW is dramatically under represented in high end raiding. This is it.

Kick: Almost all healer can kick…
Aoe stun / aoe interaction: Shaman totem, paladin light, druid root, priest fear, evoker tail /wing,
Paralyze / put out of action: All healer unless priest having some sort of single target stun or cc.
8% more healing: nice those 8% on 10 yard is sooo good… guess what holy paladin doing all the time? Also it’s not a uniqe MW monk skill… it’s a generic skill with less potential in raid.
Tell me one reason why we should bring a MW Monk in raid?

The hotfix buffs coming on 10th Jan and the changes to talents in 10.0.5 look like they’ll put MW in a really nice place compared to DF launch/current. I’m hyped!

I welcome the changes of course, but I’d rather have seen more than just number tweaking. Especially damage, we really didn’t need more damage. I know that translates into Ancient Teachings healing, but that overheals half the time anyway due to randomized targeting and they would’ve been better off buffing the modifier on that. We did good damage, this might be overboard.

Edit: Missed the 10.0.5 changes. The Faeline change is a very welcome one assuming just having the buff allows you to reset, since 8 seconds tends to be enough to reset it unless RNG’s really against you. Would still like to see Ancient Teachings be turned into smart healing, though.

I’d have to test them in M+/raid, but just by playing with them on PTR:

The QoL improvement for faeline stomp seems…OK, though you can still only reset it’s CD when you’re standing on it. So this basically allows us to briefly move out then back in. It also effectively extends the duration of stomp by 8 seconds, which is nice.

The rising mist affecting affecting rapid diffusion is good. I don’t think it will cause RM to spiral out of control and it will reduce the spool up time of our group heal so we can get 5 mists up faster in dungeons.

Sheilun’s gift is probably going to be a caster talent, or at least a non M+ one since stomp and rising mist are both mandatory there for FW.

Even with a Renewing Mist on 20 players, a Vivify would do less healing than a single Regrowth. It is so incredibly undertuned that the current number wouldn’t even do enough healing at level 60. And Renewing Mist itself ticks for about as high as a druid’s HoT does at level 30.

What I don’t get is that they slap a massive 2 second cast on it when all our “big” healing windows are so insanely small (e.g. Enveloping Mist duration being nonexistent). I haven’t seen the numbers on it yet, but it just looks like an incredibly weak Spiritbloom with no other interactions and a longer “cooldown”. At the cost of a deep talent point vs a base ability.
