2k pop total was enough to keep server alive back in days. So why 3k per faction is not enough nowdays?
I would love too, but you people are afraid to queue even for AV.
Because of convenience. More people and more bots gives free AH shopping, no need to find people or do it yourself, plus lots of guild options and so on. Like in SoM or by the end of TBC some were shocked they have to put effort into funding consumables.
I miss Un’goro Crater. Plenty of space between mobs. Terrible GY locations. You die, you have to run 10 minutes. The guy is waiting for you. That Alliance bastard.

Classic was the first time I played vanilla with less than 10k people online at any time and the only reason I wasn’t with the guys in the megaserver is that queues are obnoxious.
Because players don’t want to play on a PvP server anymore.
so they can play on pve server, not pvp
and this is how you get a single faction PvP server.
Most people have limited time to play and just don’t want to deal with this headache

And those of us who went through a server dying in TBCC, fear of missing out is a real thing. It became harder and harder to do anything, including world pvp cause the other side would have the same concerns.
Thought of giving Wotlk classic a try but after looking at realm population…
Theres not even 1% Allys left on my Realm. Why is this even allowed? Why arent racials straight up disabled so people can choose what they want to play? This literally killed world pvp.
GDKP in every corner, the retail fotm fast-fast mentality in every corner, people wanting to get boosted in every corner, no proper LFD, and completly dead realms faction-wise.
Truly the TBC/WOTLK Classic experience I wanted to witness. 
But it works. Seen enough people on their 80€ Mounts already.

Wpvp is the greatest thing to ever exist on PvP realms, don’t like it? Go to a PvE Realm.
The only reason you came to our realms and killed it is because you didn’t want to be on a low pop realm.
Wpvp is great, the thrill of having world event Guild vs Guild battles is insane and the thrill cannot be replaced anywhere.

PvE servers are not low populated at all. It is just PvP servers are “cool”, whatever that means.

You are completely right. It’s not dead but it’s around 40k less players. (20k total vs 60k total)
Also, yes and due to that it has completely ruined pvp servers for the actual pvpers.

No, people didn’t decide, world pvp is not even the reason why people transfer lol.
All the single faction servers are caused by absolutely disastrous free transfer policies and why did the players transfer? Well because they want to have the easiest time to find a group for content and the more people transfer, the more motivated are the others to transfer too.
Arena is competitive dancing, wpvp is a fight
