How is it even possible for a multi billion dollar company to take months to fix a simple quest that is broken to the point you can’t even complete it?
It being a quest needed to be done to even get Aluneth makes it all the more baffling. There are MANY quests just like it, where you kill stuff and gather a quest appropriate resource in the form of a 1/100 bar, and they all function fine.
Note, as of writing this, it STILL isn’t fixed, which is just… ridiculous.
is that the mage artifact quest for arcane ? it doesn’t drop it right ? if that’s the problem , you need to slowly kill him to let him drop the staff, one shotting bugs the mob but it’s so hard to not 1shot that thing… yes it needs a fix but the fix i found was literally melee’ing with fists yes it took a while.
it’s been almost a month since i’ve done it btw lol
It is. The issue isn’t fighting Aluneth, it’s actually getting there. The quest “Harnessing the Arcane” is broken as you can’t harness the arcane. Killing the mobs does nothing, and interacting with the breaches doesn’t work either. The bar showing how much arcane you’ve gathered doesn’t even show up.
oh you’re at that part, i didn’t have any issues with that one so not sure how to fix it but be careful at last boss if u manage to get through your issue
I doubt I will. Like I said, it has been months and Blizzard still hasn’t fixed it. I’m mostly just shocked and disgusted that a multi billion dollar company can be this incompetent.
It took them 7 months to fix the item level of legacy legendary items. For the rest they pretty much just gave up because “you can get them again”.
There goes my old Mage Tower set.
multi billion dollar company that is not willing to spend a lot of that money on paying their devs to actually like their jobs and probably hiring devs that actually care about live content rather than movin on to next patch before the old one has shipped
I’m amazed that people still haven’t gotten that fact.
Blizzard is like any other corporations. It’s not because we like their product that suddenly it would make it not some capitalist mega-corp that is exploiting its workers.
that’s what they do with expansions, everything apart from dragonflight they just ignore at this point. in many ways i’m glad because at least they don’t mess things up even worse
I actually tried that too. However, I don’t think TRP would cause much issue as it doesn’t really change how clicking on things works unlike other addons.
Judging by the comments there are issues for a number of players. Unfortunately all you can do is a bug report in game.
I noticed it’s also mentioned on the US bug report forum
Some bugs take time to get fixed, others seem to linger for a long time. I know some of it depends on how easy it is to replicate a problem and then fix it.
The funny thing is, this isn’t the first time this quest has been broken. I think it was around… mid BfA… the quest was broken in the exact same way it is now.
So that said, it is clearly easy to fix. Blizzard just can’t be arsed because they simply do not care about their playerbase.
In fact, they might as well completely wipe everything from the game code that isn’t 100% on the dragon isles and or is 100% current content.
What screwed it up before, aint necessarily what screws it up now. And they probably have hundreds of bugs they’re trying to fix, it’s not like they’re actively avoiding the bug that YOU want fixed.
I wouldn’t be too sure about this. Keep in mind we are talking about the company that gave Alliance void elves instead of high elves solely to spit in the playerbase’s face.
So I wouldn’t be surprised they go out of their way to not fix something that is broken.
Also what bug would have a higher priority anyway? From what I’ve seen, nothing current is bugged, and the only odd bug I have seen apart from this was a singular Naga above the clouds in Stranglethorn as I flew passed on my way to BB.
