Warlocks most spells are cast orientated basically not instant, and most classes know cast lock spells and stuns.
How can lock survive the endless amount of rush attacks without being totally annihilated and cant do anything.
Warlocks have a couple of defensive cooldowns, including one that makes them immune to cast interrupts. Use that to get off your hard cast abilities, and the rest is up to your demon pets and instant casts.
As a caster you also need to remember that… well, this is what being a caster is like. You have to ambush people with frontloaded damage, use mobility skills to get distance so you can keep casting, etc. As a Worgen, Darkflight is a big boost for a caster in PvP.

Destro spec is the most popular for PvP.
One of your most powerful spells is fear, it’s very quick cast and has no cooldown, once it hits you can set up space or begin to cast longer spells, if they interupt you then you can cast a chaos bolt and maybe force a stun CD. Also you have a succubus that can stun off the GCD which is a very good pet to have out for WPvP in particular. Conflag can root and increases your cast speed if talented, dark fury, mortal coil, gateway all very strong tools also but fear is a go to!

get enough haste, it doesn’t matter what you cast when people interrupt you you can just cast the other school

i have tried fear but players are immune.
i have tried teleport but horde catches up.
i have tried unending resolve but i get stunned.
i have tried both healthstone and mortal coil but i still die to big dps.
both demonic circle and gateway are useless when paladin, demon hunter, druid can either travel that distance or pull me to their location or be rooted or stunned.
I feel like a useless warlock that is literally hand feeded by minions, i get it that minions are the soul point of warlocks but what are minions going to do, when they are stunned, you are stunned and the minions can be banished or deleted by twilight devistation and not to mention the crap ai and slowness.
locks are great for pve but absolute sh*t when it comes to pvp, i dont care what anybody says that destruction is op at pvp, when locks is being attacked, its just dead and no question.
i wrote this just by fears of frustration of being killed, over and over and over and over again.
I have used f*ck ton of time on my warlock main, and it feels fun blizzard is like “hey you, i see you enjoy something. well here. Have this all late game facts throwed in your face”
Check warlock forums. Class Is garbage unless you’re cheesing through arenas with a fire mage or something with 50% haste buff
yeah like. wtf are warlocks suppose to do. you can fear and charm but players can easily just avoid that crap and attack.
paladins can literally be unkillabe for 8 whole seconds.
death knights have armor gain and health gain.
demon hunters are just unkillable by natrue.
mages can freeze themselfs and freeze opponents and escape or be invisible
druids have everything.
hunters can just run or hide.
monks can withstand better then warlocks because at least they can speed up
EVEN PRIESTS CAN SURVIVE MORE.
what can warlocks do? just absolutly nothing, telleport 40 yards AFTER you have casted your locations and even than, you must wait for more teleport useged.
This sucks allot because you cant make a alt that would be better then your main in shorter time then you made your main.
i have used allot of time on azerite, skills, the cape.
So im just absolutly tired, frustrated and uninspired (as cheesy it sounds)

now let me add to that point so it wouldnt be misundrestood after all the shadowland stuff.
There has been soo many ability deletes, items being op, classes being way too powerful then others, multiboxing being legal, main story being confusing and edited every living second, artifact weapons being useless after legion, rng loot drop casino and adding stuff that should have been in the expansion in the first place (again blizzard wanting to extend the life span of a expansion and make peoples lifes miserable)

when since have you seen a successful demology warlock.
Demo and affliction are useless in pvp.
Versastack a destro:
Their chaos bolt scales well.
They have two schools of magic unless they get interrupt on cb.
They have infernal stun:
They have unbreakable roots.
They have tons of passive damage reduction.
They basically just need to cast one single spell while the rest must work hard to get the damage.
They should nerf focused chaos, delete corruption from pvp and start buffing affli and demo but not to OP levels.

you have allot of good points and views of the specs behavior.
Warlock isn’t bad but is very gear dependant since you need to survive the punishment and make your spells hurt when you got the opportunity to strike.
I’ve seen some affliction locks do some crazy things man. I’d thought that would be the way for wpvp.

The main issue of Warlock in WPvP is not survivability, damage or control they have plenty of those.
The main issue is mobility - people tend just walk away from them if tides turns not in their favor.
watched it, idk how that man escaped 2 ganks and demon hunters.
used mostly environment to escape and of course it works for afflictions favor because he doesnt worry about minions or casting chaos bolts
