I am trying to form a group and there are always 5+ annoying service sellers who are tanks/healers. It gets tiring to ignore those usual suspects manually. And ignore list has its limits as you know.
Report them and they will be ignored without going on the list and they will sooner or later get the ability to use the tool removed from them.
Only for the current game session.
This is only a temporary “fix”.
I reported the same guy multiple times during my sm dungeon runs.
If my ignore list would ignore Bnet accounts, that would help alot. I have no interest in interacting with his alt, if i dont wanna talk to his main.
There might be tons of methods that can be implemented overnight by Blizzard devs
Filter By
- Number of Instances Player Select: If more than 5 activities selected by player, he is definitely a service seller
- Permanent Report Advertisement: We can talk to that bozo in game but I don’t want to ever see him in my LFG, even if he tries to go a single instance without selling
- By Description: Their group description generally includes some words like selling, service etc. These can be easily spoofed like using weird characters in the description but this is another way.
- combination of above.
I like LFG tool but people are misusing it and Blizzard is too slow to react against to fix it.
Blizzard just does not care. There was time when I reported boosters and “tanking service sellers” in LFG every single day. I spent like 5-10 minutes to report every one of them. I’ve got zero feedback, nobody was banned.
Just week ago I found a player with ridiculous nickname which is obviously breaking rules (refers to famous real world person and includes forbidden curse word). I immediately put a report and added that person to friends to monitor it. One week later and he’s still online with the same nickname.
Blizzard does not care. No human service. Only primitive algorithms banning anyone when critical report threshold is met.

Since yesterday i started using Badboy again, it has 3 modules, using them all for the massive guild recruitment on trade but also on lfg channel (spam), for boost sellers on trade and lfg (spam and badboy_ignore) and the over 100 enchanters all trying to flood trade with their wall of txt, not only to advertise but also to wash others away (spam).
The guild recruitment and enchanters gets filtered automatically, the boosters don’t but that’s what i have the ignore module for. It’s all readable again. For half a year i have been reporting advertisement on the wrong channels, i’m not doing it anymore, it doesn’t seem anything is being done and it’s taking too much of my time for which i don’t get compensated.
And since they send a GM on the realm half a year ago or so, they might do it again to see what’s going on on those channels that doesn’t belong there.
