How do i increase my m+ rating?

I dont really do m+ but i kinda like the ksm mount, so i thought i’d give it a try…but going random wasnt an option since my gear isnt the best… some guildfriends invited me and helped me complete all dungeons in +15 (before anyone asks, no i didnt pay anything :upside_down_face:)
But now I am stuck at 2000 rating and i need more… how does this work? Do i get points for completing lower m+ or do i need to do higher then m15 now?

Tyranical and fortified give sepperate points.

So you need to clear them all twice.

If you’ve cleared all +15 this week you need to wait until next week to continue.

Ah i understand. But do i have to do them +15 or can i grind some rating doing like +2 or +3 dungeons?

Good question, I am stuck at 2900 too, and nobody wants to join my group for 20+ for me playing a prot war kekw.

So I ask too, how do I increase my m+ rating?

You need 2400 total i think.

Each dungeon +15 give 190-195 points each based on time

Dono what keys below 15 give.

So just calculate which Dungeons and at whaT level you need them.

Points are a one time thing, so you can’t do 10 plaguefall for example, Need to do every dungeon.

Either find friends or group that accepts your class or reroll.

You can’t ‘grind’ rating in a +2
you only gain rating when you do a better run for that dungeon in fortified/tyrannical
meaning that if you complete a dungeon on +15 tyrannical, you will not gain rating from that dungeon on that affix unless you do it at +16 tyrannical (or a better +15 run giving just slight rating increase).

I finally got my KSM yesterday and pugged it solo queue all the way to 2.5k (my key or queuing to others)
as a general rule of thumb if you complete every single dungeon on +15 once on fortified and once on Tyrannical that should be enough to get you 2.5k perhaps slightly even more.

i started at rating zero, 2 weeks ago (tyrannical week)
I was low gear so all i did was farm +5s/+8s/+12s maximum
that week got me to around 1.6k rating + around 260 ilvl with vault

last week (fortified)
i did every single dungeon on +15 also managed to complete few +16s and a +17
finishing last week at almost 2.4k

this week it took me literally 5 dungeons at +15/+16 to get the 2.5k
my DOS Tyrannical is still at +5 at the moment.

Depends how your score looks like.
I run with someone often and we carry him on 15s the first week he boosted his character, he was around 1.7k in two days?
He had like a 24 timed in tyrannical and no key done on fortified by the end of the second week.
You can get KSM like that.

If you don’t want your friends to carry you then farm gear and progress slowly, a +2 will give you some score but since you’re already 2k you should do those keys you don’t have at +10 or more.

What are friends?

I was a bit overexaggerating, it is not that dramatic, however, at the moment, I feel like I play as a DPS, rather than a tank, if I start applying to pugs, I need to spend a minimum 1 hour to find a group that will accept me. Some give a chance, and they do not regret it. I make a group, “Oh doood you are a prot? Reroll bruvvvv” /leave.

Damn meta slaves.

Too late… I promised to myself that I will reach 3k as a Nightborne Protection warrior. Does not matter, in the end of the season or not, I will reach it. :raised_hands:

You can do it  There are also plenty of communities who want to play with you who do not care about your spec and meta.

Imagine how stupid some people must be to really mean this in a 20

When I play alone, I play better than with my friends, I always end up ruining something trying to be/look good lmao :sob:

The score is based on keys done in both affixes (Tyrannical/Fortified) so just keep doing a higher and higher key and get the score up.

Fort and Tyra alternate each week and those scores are reflected on your Raider IO page. This is mine just as an example, I consider myself to be a very average player. You can see there are two columns for the two weekly affixes.

Your in game mythic dungeon panel will also show you what it considers your best runs and doing a higher key than that will improve your score.

You got this m8

In s2 did I run KSM with pugs as holy priest (non meta s2) had no problem to heal and do dps. The only problem was ppl asking my to change spec to disc all the time! Let people play what they enjoy  if you don’t push 25-30 keys it doesn’t matter if it isn’t meta!

I was surprised that people invited me as a ret in +16 keys.

But that’s only later in the night when there aren’t 257348 wl, hunter or every other spec isn’t available.

You are 273. For everyone with that ilvl it is about experience/knowledge about the dungeon you are doing when it is a +16. You overgear it so much it is not funny anymore. Classes really do not matter.

I know that.

Yet even with 2500 rating and that gear level. As a ret in the pug sphere you get overlooked for specs with BL, BR, group buffs etc.

I mean , I’m fine, i got what i need.

I think it’s just funny.

Yeah it is stupid. Groups are better of taking someone who is non meta, but probably playing their main class where they know everything off, than a FOTM rerolled not knowing half their available buttons. And ret also a better interrupt. I would take a ret 100 times over a destro.

Thank you, that warms my heart XD

I play my ret since TBC and was mainly a raider.
But since the loot changes in SL i got more into m+ then usually.

Especially since SL in general is grinding down a lot of guilds , it’s not that easy to find even a solid casual HC guild.

Only as long as the reroll is not survi hunter that does as much damage on bigger pull as the rest of the group combined, while not even knowing which buttons to press when.

Meta usually does not matter, but not in a season that has such glaring imbalances like this one.
