Frankly, after having given Modern WoW leveling a try, I really don’t know what the complaint is about Classic.
I mean, yes, after 3 days of played on Modern I was around 70-80 whereas I was 40 in Classic - but guess what, I still had 50 more levels on Modern to grind and 20 on Classic, so in the end I doubt Classic would take that much longer to get to 60 than Modern would to 120 (note - we’re talking about a person with no heirlooms or other boosts here)
And the leveling itself is a lot more fulfilling and rewarding on Classic than BFA. In BFA, between the level scaling and the extremely easy nature of the game (I really had to try in order to die or endanger myself) it felt like a slog, which made me wonder what even is the point of leveling up in the first place.
In Classic, on the other hand, you have a tangible feel of you getting stronger than the environment around you as you level up, and given how difficult the game is at challenge level, it’s a very rewarding feel indeed.
I wish somebody would enlighten me as to what would make the BFA leveling experience more enjoyable, somehow, than Classic.
Some also like fishing. I had a friend that didn’t mind sitting out a aid or two and instead fish buffs for the whole guild in TBC. I like the slow feel, well running can be a bit tedious, but that is why I play a mage
wpvp, dungeons, professions make it pretty diverse.
of course if you just straight out follow some guide (even with arrow in middle of screen LOL) it gets boring because you dont understand classic simple as that.
Think of it as a test of endurance - its not hard (it felt like it was back then because no-one had a bloody clue what they were doing) but it is/can be time consuming and I want my time consumed by the effort I put in being equal to the feeling of achievement once I’ve accomplished something
