ofc i dont like it, every content ingame should be given by playing and doing content. but who cares what i say. and yes we pay to play so dont have store for bs. but again? what does it help to say this?
Are store mounts cut out content from the original game that people bought and pay to access to, yes or no. Are they cut content for Blizzard to sell on top of the pay to play practise and get more money from the consumer this way?
You dont know that they are cut content. So stop spouting it like you know it for a fact. The bottom line is that you either cant afford it or are too lazy to farm the gold to buy them in game.
I made just over 2 million gold in SL in about 6 weeks which is enough to buy 4 or 5 mounts, So if you cant be bothered to make the money, either in real life or in game, stop whining that the content is being Paywalled and accept the fact that you dont really want them enough to do the work to get them.
Because these items are literally in the game that we pay access to, not to mention they are in the expansions where we paid money for.
So in the end, they’re paid, cut out content. No matter how many times you try to twist it.
It’s cut out content which could of been made accessible within the game, but they did not.
It’s cut out content precisely that we pay to play this game and on top of that we paid for the expansion.
The audacity that they even charge extra on top of that and you people defend them to the death on these business practises, I will never get. But they are cutting content from World of Warcraft to charge extra money on the store for real life currency.
Your sub only entitles you to the free in game content.
Note: you always had to pay for an expo, so the idea “the sub covers it” has no precedent. There has always been a “this is free, this is money” in WoW since TBC dropped.
Whether something “could have been otherwise hypothetically” is just a non starter. You can’t argue a literal case based on hypotheticals without proof of causation. I may as well argue that my government is corrupt on the basis they may do something bad in the future. Maybe they will, but it’s no argument.
Same as “these mounts could have been content if the shop weren’t added” is not an argument. You have no way of knowing that, and an appeal to an alternate timeline does not make a thoroughly convincing argument.
They’re not being cut from anywhere then are they?
If they removed invincible from the game and then put it on the store, then it’s cut content. But these mounts were designed specifically to be paid for as an added extra
Actually i can see quite clearly what you are trying to say…
You are saying that because Blizzard are a successful company that makes a lot of money they should be giving away content.
Bottom line is WAKE UP, this is the real world. If you want something you have to pay for it.
If you put half as much effort into farming the gold to buy it that you have to whining about how its unfair and “Greedy corporations” you would have had all the store mounts by now.
For gods sake grow up. If it was your business you wouldnt give stuff away for free and dont pretend that you would.
There is no proof they will add gear to the store. People claimed it would happen when the store first landed, yet here we are.
You cannot use “they may raise the taxes on all booze” as an argument against why taxes shouldn’t go up on beer, not unless you can demonstrate some concrete cause and effect.
And a string of continual non-power granting additions to the shop is not evidence of a trend towards adding power granting items. Not unless you’re of the mind that a vegan supermarket that had stocked vegan products for a decade selling vegan sausages is evidence they will start selling meat products.
“free ingame content” is a new term I never thought I’d see applied in a game you pay to play for. Rofl… some player’s dedication to this game is on a whole other level.
