I don’t necessarily disagree with you on the greed, that’s the joke here.
You’re making out I’m a blizzard shill because I’m describing their system accurately.
Am I a poodle fan because I can describe one accurately? Nonsense. Yet apparently here I am defending blizzard because I’ve described what they do?
Please direct me to a single place where I said that any of what I described is good, or i feel is just, or value for money.
You won’t be able to do it. I’d double check your approach to these discussions because I don’t even disagree with what you seem to think about corporate greed, yet you have me drawn up as some corporate lawyer type because I’m actually clued up on what my money is getting me.
Doesn’t mean I approve of it overall, just I see it as more wort paying than not.
The biggest joke is trying to turn this into a “shill off” where you have people calling others shills and bootlickers because they pay for a game they haven’t said the hate, whilst the accusers lament the game but freaking continue to pay money for it.
I’d rather be accused of being a corporate shill wrongly than be exposed as a useful corporate idiot candidly. The game shop has been here for eons. The “my sub runs out soon” argument won’t work for this.
Why have people here who believe this is some evil continued to pay the company money over a prolonged period? That’s the real question here. If I think something is bad, or a company evil, I stop paying them. Giving them money whilst moaning about them is beyond idiotic.
Thats because we are rational people that understand the concept of running a business. Not a outraged Karen that wants the whole world to unite against Greedy corporations. I mean where is your forum post about the evils of other big corporations.
When you use clown terms like “free content” within a pay to play subscription based game. Then yeah, it comes off as defending Blizzard bro.
Not once did I utter this phrase but people are painting me off as karens and what not. I guess they’re now demonising people that speak out against Blizzard’s greed when they can no longer refute any arguments.
And bingo. You say that what other people buy with their wallets isn’t my problem, but now it is because as a consumer and customer, I’m getting less content thanks to those people.
If I’m honest, these people that boast about “well I can afford to buy these pixels, don’t be so jealous” kind of people are usually the ones that have 0,30 euro sitting in their bank account at the end of the month untill paycheck rolls around.
But if it’s what the player that wants it, and it earns them money, what should they do? Turn down the opportunity?
And remember, we’re having a civilised debate. Why do you need to have a veiled dig at people who have extra money? I’m a senior paramedic, I live alone and have no kids. When I bought the celestial steed I had plenty of money remaining that month.
You should take a look at the FFXIV store, I’m surprised how little people complain about it. Now WoW’s store is like nothing compared to it, I really don’t see an issue with Blizz adding a few extra mounts to the store every year, it’s good business.
Don’t want to buy? Then don’t! There’s hundreds of mounts in-game that you can get and 18 store mounts. That’s hardly something to rage over on the internets.
To be honest ingame store should never exist in any full priced game, especially when it also has a sub. But well, some people have too much money or want instant gratification by swiping credit card, thus the existence of microtransactions. People also like to show of unique cosmetics, and guess where most unique cosmetics come from in various games with store. This is allowed by complete lack of care by half of gaming community, while other half is directly against it.
Perhaps they should realise they’re further encouraging Blizzard to make more and more microtransactions in the first place, and ofcourse it’s everyone’s business.
BECAUSE ITS A TRASH GAME THAT I DONT PLAY.
Oh but, I don’t live in a bubble and I’m facing indirectly with the consequences of Blizzard catering towards these people that buy their microtransactions.
And it goes further than that, one of the reason why the whole game is a boost scenario? Thank god for tokens and a small minority of people being able to play for free through the use of their gold farms.
I don’t get when people whine about store mounts, like seriously? It does not give you anything, like literally anything. I would understand, if it would give you more attack damage and etc, but common it’s a darn mount, 600 of them in game.
