How do people level so fast?

It takes me like 7 hours to reach level 66-67. I do quest as fast as I can… now im in blades edge mountain doing quests.

i cant believe some people level so fast . i was talking to a rogue who dinged 70 in 2 days or something.

anyone has tips?

There is your problem, most of the low leveling times comes from organised dungeon farming

Much people Prepared befor tbcc release Quests+Quest items which gave them already 2 level befor they even entered the Dark Portal. Beside that the probably fastest method as non Mage is a Dungeon Cleave Group i mean a fixed not alwayys new randoms…

If you use questie, you could try to plan your questing route by grabbing every quest then to everything at once, can become problematic at some quest chains

Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money

I used a mix of Dungeon grind until reputations are at max honored and questing afterwards.
it was fast for me, reaching 70 on the Friday after launch.

Did you do dungeon cleaves or only normal dungeon grinding?

i guess normal, as my group didn’t have much bombing potential

Why u want to level fast? whats the point? Its not a race.

but to answer your question ppl level cast either through spamming dungeous with mage boosts or cos they got no jobs and endless free time and can literally play all day every day.

Do not sleep,
do not eat,
do not exist in the plane of reality. … jk

Just do the quests as they come and go, watch some movies / tv shows.

and the most important thing, do not compare yourself with those who are having wow as their job.

It’s all about optimisation. You can use just Questie, or you can use sort-of autopilot addons like Guidelime, Zygor’s Guide, Joanna or something else. Or you can find strong AoE group and grind the hell out of it (it’s usually gives from 10 to 4-6 bricks of exp/hour depending on level and dungeon).

OR you can just take your time and level slowly. It’s all up to you.

It took me a very enjoyable two weeks leveling in the traditional fashion. I completed all of the HP quests, Zangarmarsh quests, Terokkar quests, Nagrand Quests and most of the SMV quests while running dungeons mostly just to complete the quests. I made a ton of gold in the process.

Now I’m trying to run the dungeons, get better gear and some rep, then get into heroics. Almost Kara-attuned, too.

What’s great is that I don’t know much about TBC and have been learning everything on the fly. I’ve been a part of some very helpful dungeon groups that taught me things about the dungeons AND about how to better play my class.

My TBC experience has probably been the closest thing to authentic and I’ve enjoyed every step of it even with sad horde attempting to gank from time to time.

Full quest log pre release, no lifing and dungeon spamming. I did the “long” leveling, hitting every rep to honored in the process and leveled in 4 days. My group played, roughly 14h a day.

I took one week off from work for the launch phase and spammed dungeons with excellent group and we got lvl70 pretty fast. It was a fun experience but also kinda crazy… doing the same dungeon for a whole day really damages the brain ^^
Now i do the quests together with some more causal friends who aren’t 70 yet because the quests provide more gold at max level.

7 hours to a level ain’t that bad. Just gotta put in the hours. I got so hooked from launch that I was playing at least 12 hours per day.

I levelled to 70 over a couple weeks. I did every quest in the zone without much dungeons unless I got a quest to do it. I outlevelled most of the zones while I was there. The benefit to this was I had enough to buy flying by the time I dinged 70. If you already have plenty of gold - great. If you don’t then it’s a good gold.

Don’t rush the content though, it will be here for a while.

60-70 took me about 80 hours. I did it in 2 weeks and was ‘slow’ compared to some guildies. 6 hours per level is totally fine. People leveled fast by getting boosted/ nolifing for a week.

Wait until you are in netherstorm… there you get 2 1/2 levels extremely fast and easy compared to other zones.

A lot of the fast levellers were decked out in Naxx gear. For reference Naxx gear is often close to or as good as level 70 blues, and many people used that gear to clear the first raids. Imagine having gear comparable to a level 70 while being level 60, you can absolutely blast through dungeons (and quests if you want) at a pace several times faster than someone in the usual questing greens/blues.

I entered the portal on 13th June and hit 70 on 25th June. Day job and a daughter so mostly evening play only but I did take a few days off to try and bridge the gap. (Between me and other people in my guild) The fact I wasnt prepared (a fresh 60 rather than Nax geared 60) and only 2 weeks to level him (which led to 2 weeks of TBC was me still grinding to 60). Plus I chose to level as prot as well.

So long story short, my spot as guild off tank got filled around week 3 and I’m now stuck in quest gear trying to tank normals with geared zoomers going brrr to get the gear to tank heroics & Kara.

So yeh, great expansion so far 10/10
