I mean the guy is not entirely wrong.
Last seasons glad ended incredibly easy compared to most seasons with being top ~5% of the ladder while this one is probably gonna be like top ~1.5% since inflation is not hitting nearly as hard.
Too many people built some serious egos and probably get a nice reality check this time around.
I hope it stays this way throughout the next expansions.

SL PVP shouldn’t be taken too seriously, as its very much down to luck if you only play 1 class as I do. I play mage, but I find fire very boring to play. Last season I got glad before the halfway mark of 9.1.5. because I had a really strong comp to play which I enjoyed - Godcomp. So I got glad before the crazy inflation kicked in. This season its a bad comp. I was well on my way to glad as frost which is 10 times more fun to play than fire, but then obviously destro frost got rekt. Now its not even possible to find people to play with as frost, since locks have 4-5 better options, and I refuse to play fire because outside of godcomp its just too boring. So there it is, can’t push glad anymore. Point is, don’t take it too seriously, SL PVP is a clownshow anyway.

Imagine thinking glad from other seasons is more worth than others…
If u play a fotm spec in a season, it doesnt even matter.
There wasnt any season since pvp came out where 1 or 2 specs are completely busted.
His behaviour shows that hes not old enough to understand this

Imagine trying to make people feel bad about achievements in a 20 year old video game. Bonus points, 90%+ of the current (dying) playerbase doesn’t care about pvp, doesn’t know what gladiator even is.

Tbh since i started playing retail there have been so many free glad seasons such as Legion s1 as horde (2400 cutoff), then inflated bfa s1,4 sl S1,2. It seems like every second is free (i mean 2400 glad is already free but lets say its even more free).
Well i believe some definitely have more value than others. If you face unchained glad lock for example you know he has been the best lock world for last 10 years or in other case wintrader. If you face idk sinful glad hpally (there are like 30x more of them than unchained locks) then theres nothing to be afraid of.
I guess overall if youre achiev hunter or want to write glad exp in lfg it’s whatever but some stuff is more rare therefore it has to be more valuable. As op said so many clowns got their sl s2 glad and sadly it means nothing nowadays. On the other hand the game is so old that everyone at some point had to be lucky and got it.

This is a post about a frustrated booster who is annoyed at the LFG community for not being sufficiently experienced for his convenience, which is making his boost sessions go longer than he wants, and not making money as efficiently as he would like?

Honestly not sure glad even means anything anymore, most people either boost or get boosted , those who aren’t probably end up gatekept at some mmr range due to either playing with said boosted people or facing boosters.
At this point only way to push beyond glad range is to be multi R1 lvl playing with a consistent team and coms, which is like winning the lottery if you have the mentality of a solo player and let’s not get started with how toxic the EU lfg community is.
Imho boosting shouldn’t be allowed even for gold, its the biggest contributor to pvp gatekeeping and is causing the most loss of players over time, as those who cannot cope with the steep masochistic nature of the mindless grind that LFG climbing is end up quitting at some point.
