Fated / Awakened
- They like it, but they’re not ready to commit to it every expansion.
- It’s great to be able to refresh the season and allow people to play through it for more rewards
- On the other hand, it’s content that you’ve already played through before.
- They’ll listen for the feedback for this Awakened season.
- Based on how things feel between The War Within and Midnight, they’ll make a decision.
I’m not a fan of Fated myself. I don’t like the recycling of the existing raids and whatever random dungeons they throw together for Mythic Plus. This time we get all the DF dungeons together. In SL it was a mix of all old dungeons.
We haven’t had it yet but I’d far rather they fill the down time with Plunderstorm and Remix. It’s too early to comment exactly how I feel about Remix but atm getting Remix so close to S4 is too much. Especially on top of Cataclysm Classic.
I didn’t enjoy Plunderstorm but not all the events they do are going to appeal to everyone. I don’t like PvP and I don’t like BRs.
If we are going to have a fourth season I would rather see an actual season.
Not of a fan of fated content.
Still feel that this 4th season of M+ should have been the first season of M+ this expansion. and it should be for The War Within
all new dungeons first for M+ so we can experience that in the harder difficulties at the start of the expansion. re-used M+ dungeons never feel really difficult to me as a long time player.
I am a fan of all the things I will be able to buy with dinars (I will not call them cheat cubes for soup, even if that’s their new name, ok). This season will be the best in terms of how well geared you can get without having to commit to raiding, and from that perspective, I like it very much.
I’m not too bothered about redoing the dungeons. I am happy we will finally get a TGP event with all the DF dungeons.

I didn’t get my bis raid trinket the entire time I was raiding S3. I got it in one of the weekly quest chest months after I’d stopped raiding/doing M+.
I thing is one of best system they implement recently!
I always hated since Wotlk how raids during an expansion becomes irrelevant as the expansion progress.
With the Fated/Awakened system instead all content is worth to do (especially for people like me that like raiding previnous raids just for fun and not for the gear reward.
In fact I will play pve in retail only when the system is active.
I feel nothing for it, really. It isn’t content I do and this time round I still feel that outdoor players have been left behind.
Having said that, we are given something in Remix instead and they -have- updated the outdoor content to give us a higher ilevel, I’m just not excited for it.
In the future, hopefully we won’t need a S4 because supposedly the expansions are going to be faster/shorter.
I will probably do all my characters tomorrow out of boredom, then just one when the new patch hits, then it’s a wonder if I bother at all when Cata and Remix hit.
A shame we have to wait for the last season of an expansion for all content of that expansion to be current.
As someone who misses the preseason system; it feels like we’re back to if you want to enjoy the game to its fullest just avoid the gameplay until the last patch
Honestly got no interest redoing raids beyond an achievement run. S4 is nothing but a filler till the next expansion.
Looking forward to Remix as a collector instead! 
Im looking very much forward to that aswell, and while i was not a fan of plunderstorm, i appreciate them trying new things, but i also feel like if they had time to develop plunderstorm and MoP remix, they also had time to develop a new raid tier if they wanted to. I certainly dont hope this “fated” trend is something they are gonna do every expansion from now on. Then again, on the other hand, maybe i will get the legendary axe i didnt get in season 3, in season 4 instead lol, one can hope…
I do like Season 4 as concept. I am always nostalgic about raids wheneter they go away during an Xpac, so this way i get to re-experience them.
Aye, it is filler, but that’s at least something to keep those who like content busy untill next Xpac, wich judging by how soon 10.2.7 is releasing, it might be closer than expected
It’s a small team that’s made these experimental modes, not the same team developing for the expansion.
Fated + Something New could be better for the last season of the expansion. Fated is not satisfying enough alone, also it should stay as an extra event for people who wish to do, not as main theme of a full season.
If that gets us player housing I’m all for it (trading the raid tier yadda yadda)
I strongly dislike repeat I already have done and I always want new things.
The only thing I want to know is can I get bullion currency from LFR and will I be able to get the cat from last years fated.
I want to run around on a moggy that looks like King Kong sneezed on it.
Because I want the snot moggy and because I’m sick and tired of Blizzard constantly treating LFR players like they are something that Blizzard scraped off the bottom of their shoe with a stick.
It’s cool for people who missed out on previous seasons. I don’t grind group content a lot myself so having the opportunity to do the raids again before they become transmog farms is a blessing to a casual like me.
Yes, how dare we not have many online friends that we can summon to do raids!
How dare we not wait and get declined in LFG for normal+!
How dare we use LFR!!!
Dinars are good and should therefore be an evergreen currency rather than trying to make an useless season more appealing.
I’ve said it and I’ll say it again : S4 is useless from a raider pov. They’re releasing S4 after a very hard tier, which exhausted many guilds, just like during SL. And as players we all asked for one thing : KEEP RAIDING OUT OF THIS.
Or if they really want us to redo raiding then they should enable CE and curves again for those that couldn’t complete them in time since the idea is to run content again. So that would be fair.
I mean, sure, getting bigger ILVL would kindra trivialize mythic raiding, but there has been precedence to that and nobdy cared about.
As for dungeons, I liked them back in SL since they at least were “new”, or at least were from an expansion POV. This time around,
Still. LFR is so hardcore they need to release the wings on a weekly basis so people can outgear it…
