How do you feel about Odyn

With recent books in the new Uldaman that were discovered,we see that Odyn is a bit, authoritarian and kinda of an douchebag, but i still like him as a character

Like in greek myth. He was an authoriatian selfish and lustful old man.
But he had even defects

This is nothing new
I mean he did what he did with his “surrogate daughter”, Helya
Thrown a tantrum when the others empowered the aspects so hard, he tore out of a portion of a Titan facility, the Prison of Yogg-Saron thus weakening it… neglected his duties as Prime Designate
Helya did a favor for the Titan-forged and the world sealing him away…
The book is not a surprise, just comfirming he was and is an :peach:

Guy has a beard fire permanently, no wonder he’s a bit mad leave him alone man

we already know he was a tool as far back as legion the lore books told us as much :stuck_out_tongue: it should have been obvious when he threw a tantrum and took his part of uldaur with him because the other titan keepers wouldn’t listen to him how awesome his titanforged was vs the dragons

He was always like that. What he did to Helya was kinda shi**y. I would have rather killed him than her.

I think you mean Zeus/Jupiter lol… Odyn is based on the Norse god Odin.

I have not seen these as spoilers but it was always known he isn’t exactly a nice dude. His only redeeming quality is his voice actor.

So unoriginal - perfer wow own universe rather than copycat from LoTR, greek/norse/egypt mythology.

“Second: Attribute all accomplishments and works of wonder to the titans alone.”

lol Danuser and the gang covering their tracks over the Chronicle retcon :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

They won’t let us forget Shadowlands, am I right…? :unamused:

It changes nothing, we all knew Odyn wasn’t going to win any father of the year awards, but this just feels like Danuser going over the top with a villain bat, my friend said to me the other day.

" They’ve reached the point where they’ve run out of villains, now it’s time for them to turn good guys into villains "

While Odyn isn’t a " Good " guy in the sense that Thorim/Hodir/Freya and the others are, it feels like they’re going the extra mile to set him up as a villain for us to kill later on. I also really detest them adding the first ones BS, screw cosmic crap, it’s good when it can be told in a good and convincing way but Danuser and his team are neither of those.

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
But Odyn was never a hero to begin with, so… not a surprise

Oh please, you become a villain in WoW these days through creative bankrupcy as for Odyn, he’s defended Azeroth for longer than any of us, one man’s terrorist is anothers freedom fighter depending on how you look at it.

You die like a hero… or you live long enough to be ruined by Steve.

Helped to beat the Black Empire, then became grumpy when the others decided to empower the dragons… then he tore out a part of the Old God prison he suposed to watch over and gave a middle finger to Azeroth, then got sealed away. But during his reign not much happened, excpet that little thing with Heyla… he was always portrayed as a jerk
But you are right, creative bankrupcy is a huuuuuge factor

That happened in Warcraft 3. This is nothing new.

In their eyes… we are the villains :stuck_out_tongue:
We are the ones who break into their domain, challenge them, kill them.

I, LIKE him already! We should go out and get wasted!
