Yes, I find it quite jarring to remember whether their druid is the one with accent or not, or is the accent on the first or the second i?
Like, my chars are distinct, so I give them distinct names. This makes sense to me. I usually run with racial names:
LFD:
Melchamas (Paladin)
Alomen (Priest)
Zhaelar (Hunter)
Arcimendus (Mage)
Unless I have a very good name, I pick names that have the nick of my main in there. Like this char has a name that was just too good to “ruin” with my nickname
All my characters have syl in them; Sylvy, syls, sylvin, sylvie, sylkin, syllidan (yes i know :P), Sylv, Syladin
And then I have a few individually named characters. Iamfabulous is my bank character, and he is a fabulous death knight who wears a pretty pink dress. I have a draenei shaman called Davethegoat, because he’s a space goat called Dave.
No I’m not a hardcore sylvanas simp, as a true cat lady my first proper “main” Sylvin was named after my first cat Sylvia, I couldn’t get the name sylvia obviously so I just tried different variants on the final letter til I found one I liked the sound of. ^^
I tend to add extra letters to a name, providing I don’t have to go overboard.
For example I liked Gryshka for my orc but it wasn’t available so it became Gryshkha. Some like using accents, I try to avoid that myself but I have done it occasionally.
The characters i play most have ‘‘unique’’ names.
Like my warrior and my DK, and my first character my hunter.
But since i do have all classes at 50 or higher, i ran out of ‘‘nice sounding names’’.
So many of those classes i just have and barely play are named with ‘‘Mae’’ (pronounced as may) at the end.
Smitemae is my priest.

i take a look at my VERY limited leaflet of fantasy-esc names only to find that ive alrdy used them.
then i try & change couple of letters to still make the name sound the same.
if all of these fail i usually just head on to a fantasy name generator & pick the one that sounds cool.
I usually have no trouble coming up with unique names suiting a character’s race, but here’s what I used to do back in the day when I just couldn’t come up with one: write down NPC names you in your faction’s capitol. Mix and match syllables until you find something you like.
Besides that, you could always be one of those people and âdd a féw accènts.
