I have been playing horde for a while now beacuse of other friends playing as it.
Most of them have quit thou, and I have always looked back and wanted to play alliance again.
Right now I’m looking at Silvermoon, Argent Dawn and ravencrest.
I wanted to check in with you and hear what you think is great about Argent Dawn?
I’m working quiet alot but wanting to log in and have a good time, doing fun activities if it exists, and also want to do some PVE. Dosn’t have to be hardcore, but would be fun to for example do some Mythic.
For PvE Silvermoon and Ravencrest are perfect, and if that is the sole thing you’ll be doing please pick one of these.
If you have interest into Roleplaying ( which is what AD is about) feel free to dip your toes here.
Ya I am familiar with roleplaying. Been doing table roleplaying for 10+ years. And also used to LARP here in Sweden. So I like that aspect of it.
My main question I guess, is if the server offers more then that?
I’m not exactly hardcore anti-ooc or anything (that said I don’t really fault their arguments, just on a personal level it doesn’t annoy me all that much) but I will say that if you’re not looking for RP then AD isn’t exactly the best realm for you.
There are PvE guilds to be sure, though you’d have much better luck on PvE realms.
Argent Dawn’s great because of the (roleplaying) community, though I would recommend if the main focus is just PvE content you check out the other two first. There is obviously that type of content here, but it’s nowhere near as ‘big’ as other servers.
Yeah, obviously, we play the game too but it’s primary activity is RP, so I would suggest the other two realms be where you aim for. You will be able to do your PvE/PvP activities while knowing you didn’t pick the wrong realm!
I mean, why would you want to come to AD if you don’t want to RP?
If you do want to RP, then have a look at the RP advice threads in the sticky above.
There’s some stuff in there aimed at people who will just be starting WoW RP; tabletop background is helpful, but this will be a lot more fast-paced and dialogue heavy than you may be used to, so a thread read can’t hurt.
Thanks for the responses.
Gona think about this abit.
But RP would be fun to try out in WoW.
As I said earlier I have done alot of LARP aswell, were everything is fast passed.
Did character arcs of about 20-30 pages of background. But was some years ago now
I think your best bet to see if the server is for you in the RP regard is to just level a character for abit, try out the RP scene and make up your mind from there
While both the PvE and PvP sides are here, both of the aforementioned servers are leagues above any you’d find on AD.
Either way I wish you the best in finding your new server :>
Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you do. AD has a welcoming RP community and people are more than willing to extend a hand to those who genuinely want to try out RP.
It does offer more than that, there are pve/pvp guilds, A lot of people that don’t RP as much anymore still play on the server because they like seeing the world more alive.
The main focus of the server, like the tag suggests, is rp, if you want to try welcome, if not, I suggest one of the other two realms.
Edit: We also do pve/pvp on occasion ofc.
Silvermoon, Ravencrest, Outland and Sylvanas are more likely to have everything you want than AD does, AD is an RP realm and the last active RP realm, the RP community won’t benefit from more non RPers here.
If you absolutely must play on an RP realm then look at Defias Brotherhood.
