How is what you have earned for transmog been checked/tracked?

I have question about how what we can transmog our items to is being checked/tracked.

Haven’t been playing much on my paladin here, but it was the one i played most on until recently, and the one that have collected most gear over time. While i have cleared most of it out, as i never really thought about saving for transmog, I expected to barely have any items saved, but was quite suprised to find that for some reason I’m able to transmog to nearly full T5 paladin set with the tank shield from Karazhan, items I haven’t had for over 2 years, but items from Wrath or something I nearly just sold before prepatch, is not there.

My question in regards to this, is how do you check/track what we can use for transmog, as for now I can’t really make sense of it, as some items from TBC I can use for transmog, but items from Wrath I can’t.

you can transmog all items for a very few exception (warglaives and r14 PvP gear). Blizzard doesn’t log everything you get, so some items they KNOW you got (T5 set), some items they don’t know you got (the things you sold).

You can do item restore feature to get some items back, but if it’s not available - you should farm them again

Is it a bug that we cant transmog the blue lvl 60 pvp set?

Not a fan of many hunter sets, bought that set but its not showing up as an option afterwards

You can transmog this set if you have achieved the rank required to wear it (r10 for shoulders/helmet, r8 for chest/legs, and r7 for gloves/boots).

Posted here hoping maybe somebody had some idea, but I have kind of the same problems as posted in this post: Please don’t forget to fix transmog too! - WoW Classic / Cataclysm Classic Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

After some further checks over the weekend, it makes even less sense to me. Items I know I have picked from quests this year, but before the prepatch, are not showing up, like the axe from Outland’s Ring of Blood, while items from quests I did at the start of TBC are, same with how some items, like T5 and kara tank shield, I can see while I haven’t had them in my inventory for nearly 3 years, but stuff from just from just before prepatch is not showing up.

No you can’t. Tried to mog it on my r10 warr from classic. It has not been implemented yet, nor the replica vendor.
