Player A gets better rewards than player B. I’m not sure exactly what more you want? Although it sounds suspiciously like you’d rather player B get nothing at all.
No, you were happy.

No, you were happy.
Well what if it’s like this:
Player A spends 6 hours in an heroic raid during a week.
Player B spends 30 hours that same week doing WQs, warfronts, island expeditions and LFR.
Do you still think A put in more effort than B?
Because I don’t label myself as a casual. I’m a hybrid hard core, casual player. If Im into a game I will spend a lot of time in it, doing all manner of content I enjoy. But I rarely ever go looking for difficulty. That’s just not something that appeals to me.
If I play an RPG, I will ALWAYS put it on the lowest difficulty available. To stick with the RPG example, for instance; Mass Effect 2. I only ever did it on the lowest difficulty, but, I did 6 complete playthroughs with different classes/choices etc with many of them being very completionistic (sorry that might not be a word ). So even though I didn’t play that game on a harder difficulty, I feel like I put in effort.
And I’m not asking for the SAME rewards. Just a way to keep progressing my character, because that aspect of an MMORPG is a LOT of fun to me.
Well, that’s very hard to determine because, like I said, that effort is subjective.
No, it wasn’t. What?! Again; I’m NOT asking for rewards on par with the higher raiding difficulties. I already said in numerous posts that current ilvl rewards are silly and over the top. But there IS a minimum needed to keep people engaged and interested.
That’s not how it works for me. Exclusivity leads to disappointment and me quitting. I’m already invested, but not in content I don’t enjoy. I don’t play a game to do a chore. I play it to have fun.
That is not true at all. Where are you getting your information from?
Earning raid-level gear without raiding has been a thing for a LONG time.
Werent you the player who howled over having to do a mythic 0 to see the story? Nice hybrid hardcore there.
Also, you made a ‘‘i-quit’’ thread just days ago? Didnt last long now did it?
Howled? No. Made a complaint. Yep, that was me.
I don’t like being forced into 1 particular difficulty to be able to complete a storyline.
What does that have to do with the hybrid remark?
If you don’t understand something I said, just ask, honey.
Hardcore casual hybrid: Doesn’t do higher difficulties, but is willing to put in loads of time, grind his butt off and do all manner of content.
Fits perfectly with my complaint now, doesn’t it?
I don’t have a sub at the moment indeed. It appears you don’t need one nowadays to post on the forums. So it allows me to still share my thoughts with lovely people like yourself.
I think this is just rubbish
i didnt know either, apologies for that 1
What exactly about it is rubbish to you?
Would you mind explaining?
It’s all good mate.
Don’t fall in that trap. Part of what is important is not effort, it’s gaining skill, ability. They will tell you that grinding some trivial crap 24/7 should somehow equal doing things that actually require improvement. Obviously, there is the background effort to actually gaining the required skill to do things, but at the end the reward structure should be a hybrid between skill and effort which should probably be more inclined towards skill.
Aright then. You write that you’re both hard core and casual. What do you mean??? From what I gather its to describe those who actually wants to be challenged and master it. I hardly count pet battles and clearing out old raids from previous expansion at all hardcore! Not even close
Thats why i think its rubbish, like fog words. Rubbish is a rude word, but yeah !
She’s saying that she kills boars 20 hours a day, that should reward her with items.
It does though, but its pieces of meat and ruined fur because its an easy challenge
Which actually is pretty damn good price for that. Meat sells for a lot of gold and that means you can buy gear from ah. If you have skinning you are actually swimming in money.
I see. Well, in my opinion hardcore is also someone who plays a lot, dedicates research, willingness to grind to reach a set goal etc etc.
That’s also being challenged, just in a different way. I am a good player, I’ve raided in the past. I simply don’t enjoy that content now anymore.
But I DO like progression for my character. Growing stronger, more versatile etc. That’s FUN. Of course I don’t expect, nor ask, to be on the same ilvl as someone who does high end content. And I’m not. Even with BfA’s ridiculous rewards, Im still not at that level. Close to it, sure. But why is that so bad?
That set of goals in this current system with titanforging and other bullcrap is very blurred. You can’t map out your items before hand because anything can happen with the items.
You just run random stuff and hope that the slotmachine rewards you.
So you want power progression, without the increased challenge? Im getting closer? I think that’s rather unique in my opinion. Its a very old MMO, you know it’s a game bout killing strong enemies. There’s no way anybody playing this don’t know that by now
Yes, and if we’re still talking about LFR → Mythic and Mythic 0 → +20, then that’s exactly what you get. Or did everyone move on from bashing LFR when I wasn’t looking?
I’m not talking about just grinding some mob here and you know that very well mr troll.
There’s lots of content besides mythic dungeons and normal/heroic/mythic raids.
Lots of content where I could earn gear. You may look down on that content, but honestly; that means nothing to me. Your opinion is becoming less and less relevant to me every time you make another one of your silly, hyperbole replies.
I’m ready to bash anything in this current state of wow. What you wanna bash? PvP progression? Titanforgin? Warfronts? Island expeditions? PvP balancing? Self heals? Dampening? Store mounts? I think I am ready for all.
You, upside the head.
Gearwise yeah true. But I don’t set goals gearwise. Because I don’t do content that requires that gear perse.
When I get an upgrade it’s just cool. A fun moment. Of course, there’s short term goals like; finish this emissary and such and then yeah you do it for the reward that was promised. But as a long term goal I don’t go for gear (not for the ilvl anyway); I go for mounts, transmogs, toys, reputation, titles etc etc. Those are long term goals for me and the gear I get handed along the way is cool and welcome of course, but not the destination.
Is that a threat? You know Blizzard is very keen of keeping these forums a safe place.
