That’s one realm of 9 EU locked realms, others had much longer queues.
I do think 40 minutes is unacceptable.
Each realm needs looking at individually not as a whole.

You forgot to mention that this was during the corona pandemic and pretty much on Sunday evening only …
What do you think is going to happen when the AQ war effort patch drops? As usual when new content drops, queues will go through the roof, and you want to add even more pressure to those servers? Seriously, get over it and move on.

Ye I came back after a long break from classic(quit before p2), and wanted to roll on alt as horde on golemagg my main server and it was dead. Felt like playing a single player game.
Ended up doing some research then when pyrewood alliance pve server and it feels close to classic launch. Very busy server for alliance, every area packed. Guess people got sick of locked servers or sick of getting ganked by horde so every alliance went here.

Layering will be gone by phase 2.
Plently people in here rationalised it before launch now saying they dont know when it will be gone in p5. Couldn’t make it up lol.

Seems like you can drop the level 36 and just start level 1 to play with him the usual way. What if you both won’t be able to play because high pop realm would get a 2h queue?

I have multiple characters on levels ranging from 1 to 60 xD (but ur stupid u dont understand that one player can have more characters, ok good then we know).
Blizzard has no money for servers ok good, then we know.
And now they have even less money for servers since we left xD
Then whats the problem with rolling lvl 1 on a nice realm where you can play without overflow of raiders, botters and multiboxers? Do you want to boost him to 60 so that so you can both raidlog?
Sorry but people wanting to go so badly to big pop large realms are either botters or farmers wanting to transfer valuable resources from low pop realms. Expectations that unlock will suddenly bring organic levelers is either naive or out right false. People will come to be boosted or to make new wave of bots. Even unlocked realms don’t have that much organic leveling going on.

I’m playing in a guild with 6 irl friends. I cant just switch realm.
And this guy is also an irl friend so he would like to join us. I’m planning to level an alt (ok sorry i PLANNED im not even playing wow anymore) from 1-60 and thought hey nice we can level together.
Just as normal human beings.
Not a bot.
Not a chinese child farmer.
Not a multiboxer.
Just a normal human being.

Unlock servers already, so far blizzards version of classic is the most scuffed private server of all time. Layers, locked servers keeping you from playing with your friends, non-existant anti-cheat, 10 second delay anytime any sort of world pvp occurs that involves more than 10 people, 30 instances per day lockout.

All these quack reasons and ney sayers thinking they need to come here and explain stuff, open servers add layers if needed (hardly doubt it, leveling zones are empty) , problem solved, stop killing classic intentionally (no were not going shadowlands) and tailor to your paying customers…

So with luck you get like 50-100 new accounts that aren’t bots. What’s then? Leveling zones will be empty, some will yell for boosts to get quick 60, the end. What are you expecting to happen? 1000 new accounts to fill every leveling zone? 1000 every week or two to keep them filled all the time?
daily reminder to unlock servers, this nonsence is killing the game, leveling without seeing a soul is horrible

I am levelling on an unlocked realm and see lots of people from both factions while levelling.
It’s not the lock causing the loneliness, it’s the layers.

What server are you playing on?
Unlock servers already, AQ War Effort with no new players in the past 3 months is ridiculous - low lvl mats are supposed to come from low lvl players

You could be disappointed with the “amount” of new players after unlocking realms (minus new bots). Right now some are unlocked and only some of those aren’t hard dead with leveling and new players.
3 months and still locked servers with sharding and zero communication from Blizzard. I swear they hate the Classic playerbase and are hoping that by pissing us off we will quit Classic and buy Shadowlands.
