How Many Are Not Re-Subbing?

I’ve seen a lot of people on the forums mention not re-subbing. I have 3 days left and I don’t intend to re-sub. I won’t go into the reasons why, but just how many of you are not going to re-sub or are contemplating not re-subbing?

U shouldnt take this decision based on others.

There will be a stable playerbase anyway.

If u dont like it- unsub.

If u like it-sub.

Is that simple!

Gluck with ur decision!

I’m expecting a handful of horde to quit over the Q situation, other than that I don’t think we’ll see a dip just yet.
General pop might still be on the rise tbh as more people finish their exams and start their holidays.

Literally not making the decision based on the opinion or decision of others. My subscription ends either way and I won’t be re-subbing. I’ve just seen a lot of posts recently from people who claim to be letting their sub run down and won’t be coming back.

They always say so untill last patch comes out and they suddenly feel the need to rush to kill last boss of the expansion. They are motherlode of Goldbid raids.

Meh, it’s worse than a private server, but I’ll probably keep subbed for a while.

100% this. They cannot resist to scratch that itch. Place your bets, how many months until OP returns. I’d say two.

I’m staying subbed, I need my daily dose of WoW and TBC(regardless of the trash store mount) am really enjoying it

I still have a few months on my sub and I’m having a lot of fun and intend to resub - however, if I see them continuing to add more and more paid “services” and “conveniences”, I may not resub (depending on how bad I consider said future services to be).

Goood gooood and pls never return

For those who think “he’ll be back in a month or two”; I left Classic about a month after launch and only came back for TBCC about a month before it launched to cap 60 and see what it would be like. I will probably come back for WoTLK to have a play around, see how the game is and then leave again.

WoW seems to burn me out very quickly these days and I honestly think I’m out-growing it and the whole culture that now surrounds it. It’s not the same game to me it was when I was a teenager and the community has morphed into something I don’t recognise anymore. I’m just not a try-hard/minmax sort of person either.

All that being said; it seems pointless to me now as I know it will eventually end and so why am I wasting time playing it for my ‘achievements’ to be pointless in 12 months? Even if Blizzard continue past WoTLK, they’ll just catch up to Shadowlands one day and then you’ve come full circle. I spent 70% of my free time from roughly 12 - 17 playing WoW and now when I play, I have this voice in my head go “you’re wasting your life” lol

I think what Classic/TBCC has shown me is something I realised years ago, forgot and am learning again now; “This is a waste of time”.

Funnily enough… My experience in Classic (and now TBCC) has been the opposite.

I find myself to be appreciating the game a lot more. I always loved the world, the ambience and the music, but I’ve only recently been able to appreciate the class design (for ALL the classes this time around and not just the Druid) the slower pace of combat and the professions.

I’ve been keeping away from the culture promoted by most streamers and content creators. The only reasons I may follow them is as background noise while I work, or - prior to launch - to feel hyped and excited for TBCC (now) and Classic (then).

And it’s funny that this should happen now, because I have less time and a better rounded life than I did back then. Between work, chores, gf, RL friends and other hobbies (though the last have been mostly set aside for now because of the pandemic), my gaming time is limited.

If anything though, life has taught me after all these years that time spent having fun is never time wasted. So while WoW Classic (including TBCC) is probably the least productive thing I could do, I enjoy my time in it and so I appreciate it for that reason alone.

Which is why I hope they don’t add more and more RMT and similar crap…

I have not unsubbed from WoW ever since 2006 and i do not intend to start now.

So original and well thought out, mate. You should write a book.

AS i like to say whatever mate you are already gone and useless for this game bye

I actually respect you for this comment. I think if playing the game, with whatever time you spent playing, makes you wonder if it is even worth it and/or is waste of time then you should probably listen to your gut.

In the end, it is just a hobby and entertaiment to most of us. I think the majority does not see it as a waste of time, but a way to spend their time. I for example see looking at football as a waste of time and therefore do not do it.

Do what makes you feel best brother. We can crawl under eachother’s skin but I respect the decision based on your intrinsic motivation. Have a good one.

If you don’t have fun then don’t sub it’s as simple as that.

I joined classic only in tbc. Rolled belf, get behing quickly because ppl just boost characters. Around lvl 32 I realised I hate playing belf. Want to reroll undead. But now I’m even futher behind. No dungeon gropus. Feeling of missing out. Eh I don’t wan to chore by grinding quests to lvl 60 for months now.

Mine runs out tomorrow. Since we are getting zero blue post on Bg que problem and on posibility for paid faction change. I dont se much hope in the horrison.

There is little or no reason to get fixated with doing Classic dungeons other than when you have the dungeon quests to do., questing is faster to level. ( unless Mage boosting is still a thing ? )

They have reduced the XP requirement per level and iirc quests give more XP per turn in, in Classic Zones.

I imagine that it’s not boosted toons but people playing either their classic mains or levelling an alt from 60 to be a new main. Having said that in /4 I still see people LFG for Classic content.
