i’m really curious…
will blizzard ever say the numbers?
Alot? I dunno.
The hype at launch was insane but there was way too much talk about things like “taking time off work to play” and nonsense like that. That’s things old people say. And old people literally have less time left to play games.
to be honest I don’t really know how many did but it would be unsurprising it be that much due to level of complacency by retail kooks
Quite a lot, since most realms had 10k+ queues.
Now we’ve only really got Firemaw with no queue.
most players weren’t actually gonna play classic, they just wanted to try it for a bit
90% of the players, keep in mind a DRASTIC number of players returned for classic, the largest amount ever in blizzards history. etc
Do you mean quit playing classic or quit both classic and retail?
I had a 3 month break spanning from Christmas until a few days ago. I can’t remember why now, but I’m glad to be back.
A lot of people, but most people are still playing the game. The realms are mostly medium to high and Azeroth is live and populated.
We started five (friends). Three already quitted.
Guilds (good guilds) constantly looking for players.
since subs are shared? losing wow subs won’t tell who did quit classic and who did quit retail.
But i made a bet with friend regarding those who stopped logging classic anymore, so i wish to know what is the amount of wow classic logger at first 1months and the avg amount of logger into classic atm.
I would estimate that 422 000 people unsubscribed and that classic reached a total of 1.1 million subscribers.
I think that’s a really good estimate. But you can probably add a million or two retail tourists for the first month though as Ion said millions had played Classic.
You can unofficial numbers at https://ironforge.pro/servers/
I am about 300 hours in and don’t have any plans to stop playing.
Played for a while after launch… but taking a break, enjoying Retail 8.3… will be back.
Ppl stop playing, why are ppl allways so concerned about ppl stop playing Wow?
@Bodiesan: While Eprom used the word total, he might have meant for the EU region. For the whole globe 1,1 million is definitively too low as starting days’ statistic.
I need to do a bit more of looking about before making my own estimate.
No… 17,000!
88?
4.
It’s definitely 4.
