I was stood at the bank about 20 mins ago and a horde attacked and killed me and they didn’t get attacked by the guards.
Just grab herb and you will have your mount in no time, increadible easy to earn gold as low lvl atm. Nobody wants to farm stuff like swifthistle (20g/stack), stranglekelp (10g/stack), heavy leather is also expensive af…after year of content there are so many lazy players with so much gold that if you want to you will have your epic mount money before lvl 50
Where in SoS and isn’t STV good for that?
Get to sergeant rank and it takes away another 10g from the cost so it becomes 80g etc
Professions. Gathering professions. Fishing oily blackmouths, herbing steelbloom / swiftthistle etc mining iron / solid stone that sort of thing
Hinterlands at the beach on the far east side. There you can get clams from fishing as well. There are golden pearls in those clams and that sells for a lot

Bit of a pain in the rear to get to the Hinterlands coast when your lvl 35?
Darkshore is great for oily blackmouth schools but if you really want make the gold start a druid and level to 16 for the water form so you can farm stranglekelp easy, take alchemy and level it to 150 then you can craft free action potions that sell for 8-12g per 5 stack.
Forget skinning and lw. Just go herb. 2 hours of herb gathering makes a mount money with level 20 herbs.
4 stacks switthistle or 5 stacks grave moss or 6 stacks stranglekelp or 7 stacks wild steelbloom you all need.

Make sure you sell any AQ war effort materials on AH is probably the best way right now, all cloths and leathers, various other things but can’t think off the top of my head right now, make sure like others have said, check AH prices before you put stuff on AH. If you don’t you could be priced too high(things won’t sell) or too low ( you’ll be loosing potential profit)
Or find some low level mobs that drop light feathers( needed for mage slow fall), harpies in North West barrens drop them, horde zone I know but you’ll be about 20 levels higher than any horde you see there.
Or take up herbs and farm swifthtistle( needed by rogues for thistle tea), drops from herbs like briathorn, can farm them in wetlands easy enough 
Can I take them when I learn herbing for the first time or do I have to gather lower ranking herbs before?
Yes, you have to skill up on low level herbs starting from starting zones. Aside of herbalims and alchemy don’t forget about fishing as it’s a good money maker as well.
On low levels most money would be likely fishing if you can get pools of fish in zones that aren’t above your level (or when they are but there are no mobs to attack you).
Overall right now those are things worth looking at for herbalism/alchemy (most require level ~60 but not all):
- Frost oil : recipe and main herb are in Ruins of Alterac. At ~60 you won’t aggro the ogres unless you move into them. Also grave moss there
- Nature protection potion (the smaller one): herbing hard in swamp of sorrows. it will be cheaper than the bigger one, but also people will be lazy and pick the cheaper option, or leave the bigger ones when really needed
- Free Action potions : moving back and forth on the shoreline of STV getting oilies + stranglekelp. Plus firefin/eels. Greater Sagefish/Rumes on the lake
- Frost protection potion and greater frost protection potions : some will sell for Twin Emp when AQ40 is out. Bit for PvP maybe. You can get the water thingy component farming low level water elementals on an island below the ZG island in STV
- Stonescale Oil, Greater Stoneshield Potion: from eels. You can make GSP if you have to much oil to sell at once.
- Greater Firepower Potion : get firebloom from Tanaris, add firefins
- Shadow protection potion (the smaller one): cheaper than the bigger one, people want to save a gold or two
- Shadow oil, greater shadow protection potion
- Mongoose potion, top agility and str pots
- arcane elixir and greater arcane elixir
- major mana potions
Can swim up from arathi, so its alright
go to westfall. start one end of the coast on the west side and fish all the way up and down it. 1 sweep can get you a stack of blackmouth if you’re lucky. plus, no ganking.
