How to change pets controls?

Hello,

Can someone help me how to change my pet controls (for an example from crtl+1 to K or something like that)?

Also, if you have an experience with playing hunter, what would be great to keep as active spell and what to change on manual? My idea is, for now, to use attack, growl, dash, howl, prowl on manual and only bite/claw on auto.

Also, are you using macros (such as: on one button to attack with your hero + pet + growl…)? Do you recommend that?

Thank you for your answers.

As far as changing the keys goes, if you go into the menu there is a keybindings option, in there you can change all your skills, etc. including the pet action bar, you may have to scroll up and down a bit to find the right section as there are a lot of different action keys all with their own section.

I can’t help with the rest I’m afraid.

When running dungeons put dash/charge and growl on auto. And if you don’t want to put pet on aggressive (also advised in dungeons) macro /petattack with auto attack and every ability.

I will try to find it. Would I be able to change it on a two-buttons control (SHIFT+Q)?

Thank you. I thought that growl is bad on auto since it will be cast few times and maybe will use focus for 1 more bite or claw in fight. Guess my thinking was wrong, good to know

Beside this one, what other macros are you using? Need to see how that to change that it is really good for QoL.

You can certainly use a two button combination, my pet controls are set to Alt plus a number so attack would be Alt + 1, use what ever works best and doesn’t strain the fingers.

Here’s a bunch of macros I love using on Hunter. Not my work, found it on Reddit. But the forums wont let me link.

Thank you very much! I was work hardly today on these macros - to make myself the easiest way to use them. I focused on my pet since that can be a real problem if you dont use it right, especially in dungeons.

About aspects I made very good version of it:

#showtooltip Aspect of the Hawk(Rank 4)
/cast [nomod] !Aspect of the Hawk(Rank 4)
/cast [mod:shift] !Aspect of the Monkey
/cast [mod:ctrl] !Aspect of the Cheetah

I have only 2 questions. Is it good to use macros such as:

#showtooltip Multi-Shot
/cast Multi-Shot
/cast !Auto Shot

on every spell (arcane shot, serpent sting, etc.)?

And the second one - I would like to make “feed” pet macro, but I dont know how, since I feed them based on the food in my current from the environment (It wont be Haunch of Meat every time and its really problematic to change this every time). Is there any other way? Maybe to use food from “X” button? Or something like that.
