How to fix balance between Horde and Alliance

I just started to play Alliance a few weeks ago again after Bfa. I noticed Alliance has fewer players if we compared to Bfa expansion because most of the players went to Horde. When blizzard implemented cosmetics for races on Alliance I was mad a lot. Why do humans and nelfs have more than belfs and now I get it why xD I think they think will make ppl more swap to play Alliance by that move. Why just don’t let Alliance and Horde queue together for m+ and raids?! We certainly fight the villains together, Waycrest Manor was a nice example and if we look far back Sunwell also .
I think that would fix things great and if someone say what about pvp …Man pvp was always separated from pve. When you kill bad guys turn on war mode and gg

Rated PvPers want to be able to queue cross-faction too. Arenas already are faction-neutral. Alliance can fight Alliance and Horde can fight Horde.

Im not talking about pvp I dont play pvp, I did in bfa but only because azerite neck. Im talking about pve and problems what Alliance have because ppl dont play thease days Alliance. Just saw halls of fame and will all be clear. I spent few hours just to find a 15+ key on Silvermoon there is a not a lot keys in que. Lfr on alliance 38min lol

They just need to enable cross-faction pve and that’s it. Problem solved.

I think it would be great and pve would be so more interesting - fun with mix racials.

Ion mentioned that they may consider a cross faction LFG/LFD with a kind of merc mode.

However they have ruled out cross faction or faction merge beyond that.

Tbh. I did the opposite. I have played Horde for like 2 years now. And then I had an idea to try out Alliance.

The biggest problem I had on Alliance was I bagan to miss my main “Garrthul” here I after 2 years on the same toon I bagan to like him.

But the turning point for me was that in late primetime so like 20:00 GMT+2 I had to wait 30 min as a DPS where in the finder I could see that what we needed was a Healer…

I also tried to find a LFR group about mid primetime like 17:30 GMT+2 again, I waited like 30 min, but this time on a Tank…

Then I logged back to my Orc and a LFR group was been made in like 10 minutes.

I have no intentions of coming back to Alliance just because of the que timers. I find Alliance to be more friendly, but the que timers are just to much for me. I could easily learn to like playing on an Alliance alt if I didn’t have all my friends on Horde.

TBH okay Horde and Alliance is in war, but the lore do not support that anymore. For me the only reason I see for this split who even splits groups of friends in the middel because some will play Orcs and others want to play Humans is for World PvP who not even would be destroyed by make a solution with in WM Horde and Alliance is enemies again, and WM OFF then you can interact with each others, group up and play toghther. this would also tbh be the only solution I see to try Alliance again.

We can’t fix a broken imbalance without doing drastic things like merging factions or making the Alliance uber overpowered.

Yea que is big problem on Alliance lfr you can ez clean house, make meal watch movie until you got inv in lol Also looking pug for m+ there is nothing. 3 weeks i play Alliance i have hard time to find any 15 key all was like 10 or 18-25+ and it is small number. Raids, more Sylvana 160k than actually raid. After 23h you cant find any raid. On horde is differend story lfr 8 min que, m+ you need to scroll down and have options like raids also. Ppl raid all night , I was with my main horde few nights ago in raid at 3am. You can even find raid at morning lol

Yeah, those are all fair points. But I just wanted to note that the PvP playerbase would alos benefit from cross-faction play. Alliance is struggling all throughout. I want it in PvE and PvP. Not one or the other.

the interfaction queue would be a good start, but people mostly plays horde to have more guild options.
unless they do something to allow cross faction guilds the problem will stay.
it would have been so easy to fix before the issue cascaded to tody’s level, but they did nothing back then, and now it’s pretty hard to fix without reworking the whole faction mechanics.

They can’t bring people back to Alliance, that ship sailed a long time ago.

They should however bring down the faction barriers so you can raid/group with each other.

How to make people like Barcelona more than Real Madrid? Or Germany more than Brazil? Or Tea more than Coffee?

The short answer you cannot. There will also be alpha choice, and people just decided to like horde more this expansion.

They liked Allaince more in classic, wotlk, wod and tbc i think.

So in short, you cannot control people choice. Blizzard tried when they gave Alliance the better racials from Legion all the way to SL, yet people don’t like Alliance.

haha good one

Just push racials into alliance favor for a couple of months, I mean its what dictated alot of PvPers in previous expansions, why stop now? Leave it for half a expan alliance biased in pvp and to some lesser amount raiding, problem solved when people merge to mooch off % differences.

Go ahead, make my day.

As always, people only looking at short term gains and not long term consequences, kinda like the horde biased devs that gave themselves OP racials which in turn lead to this mess.
Cross-faction anything would be a monumentally stupid idea, cause it would completely ruin faction identity, which is only the core premise of this entire game…

For Blizzard to fix this they’d have to tune the racials again, cause even now when they are supposedly “good” they really aren’t, almost all sims show horde racials ahead of alliance ones and they’d also have to make faction/realm transfers free if you go from Horde to Alliance, and they’d have to keep it that way until things balance out.

Of course that second part will never happen cause Blizz cares too much about money, so things will just continue to spiral out of control until they do add the cross-faction nonsense as a last measure band-aid only to realize that a lot of people don’t like it and slowly but surely even more will stop playing the game.

The racials argument is such a factually outdated, nonsense point to me.

The perception is clearly still that Horde has the very best racials across the board, it’s like a cult or religion.

In Vanilla, on even the largest servers, Horde players would purposely make low level AH toons to be able to get stuff off the Alliance AH and trade stuff back through the Goblin towns (BB ftw!) because the Horde AH was so pitifully empty.

Human racial EMfH was considered OP from WotLK through to WoD and it changed nothing for the greater demographic beyond rerolling/ faction-changing PvPers.

In Vanilla Humans and Nelfs seemed to be the most played races.
During Classic (on a PvP server) everyone seemed to be Dwarf and Gnome with Human and Nelf being noticeably less.
In Classic even Human players successfully capitalized on their perception racial. It’s just people didn’t know how to use them correctly or just forgot about them back then.

All these logs and achievement trackers are proving is that the volume of players doing particular in-game activities relative to their factions are overwhelmingly Horde, i.e. 15 Horde players to 5 Alliance players pushing M+ is automatically favored to have more Horde placings/rankings.

People just want to play Belfs.
When TBC came everything started tilting the other direction and never seemed to tilt back.

Maybe with the recent changes for Velfs this might change.

Very simple. Make fanction change free. It would help quite a bit.

I would love to play some dark iron warlock but I am so not paying for it.

You and me both!

I’d really like a Dark Iron paladin but up until last year you needed to get rep and do certain quests. Now I think you can access them after going to the Embassy but you still need an Alliance lvl 50.
