How to help boost a alt on another account?

I have a 60 lock on my other account. Is there any method to help my druid level? Xp in group gets nerfed bad. Can help speed up quests but overall doesnt seem worth it. Can boost him through dungeouns but also xp isnt good.

Anything that can help him or am i best just to solo level the druid?

You can try running dungeons. I got boosted for one level in SFK in about an hour by a 59 mage.

You can help yourself with dungeon runs for gear/quests. Even if the group XP is reduced the XP from quests is not, so it works very well for dungeon/world elite quests.
And the few pieces of gear might help you when you’re soloing on your alt after.

Do boost runs for gear. Having robes of arugal early fx is a huge + for lvling. Good blue pieces can last you 20+ lvls

How was asmon managing 300k xp/h? As you dotn get full xp for tagging mobs only

Seriously?

You can’t figure this out yourself?

Either you tag the mobs with lowbie no group and then tab to 60 and kill the mobs with the 60 or you go spam some dungeons etc, or you do questing normally but with 60 on mount with /follow so they can assist and ward off gankers etc

None of what you said gives good xp

The average level of a group dictates how much xp you get in an instance. 32+60/2= level 46. But if you have 4 people at level 32+60/5 = level 37.

So bring more people and get more xp.

Ah makes sense.

Also how is asmongold getting such high xp per mob with others killing? I thought you got xp basses on your damage done?

I boosted a friend in SFK and we added 3 more low levels from LFG. They were really happy to join and it lowers the average level, so my friend got decent experience.

Boosing is still great, as you move fast, so the xp per hour is still good as you could run the same instance 2-3 times in 1 hour with the lower char on autofollow.

Good thing about this too, is you have access to ALL the loot. Meaning your lower char, will have blues in pretty much every slot. This can help massively when doing quests on your own.

Also, you can help finish the elite quests in each zone, at your own pace.

This is what I did when boosting my other chars on another account.

how about group xp outside instances?

does that average to your level?

Spamming dungeons will still be the most efficient method, even with the XP penalty.

Taking 3x randoms around the same level as your alt can help offset the penalty, granting your alt more XP per kill.

Just make sure you take people who won’t ruin your runs or die.

The thing is, if the mobs are green to these killing them, after a lowbie tags, the lowbie gets near full xp for the kills. For a level 60 that can go down as low as 48 (green mob to a 60).
Therefore it is quite nice, when you have 2 accounts, to help your alt from high level 40-60 by questing as the mob xp for 48+ mobs with the tag method is legit.

He had a raid of fanatics lvl 60 killing lvl 48 elites for him, outside of group. And he was lvl 42, just tagging mobs… My biggest advice-dont be a fanboy and just play the game.

the xp is vastly reduced to what you’d get solo, especially if you are grouped and your alt is on autofollow.

Soooo, the fastest way to both level and farm money is just take 3 other lowbies with your toon and spam dungeons at the appropriate level, with one proviso, any blue Boe is yours, the rest they can keep. Put your toon on follow to one of them and make it their business that he stays safe and always within range, put master looter on with threshold set to rare, and pass on loot on your main. Just run the instances 6times an hour, the other lowbies basically loot for you so you get all the gold etc, you don’t have to slow down to loot everything and if anything shows as loot you know you have a Blue item.

You don’t have to res anyone because the lowbies will work away behind you keeping your alt safe and you should get 1-2 blue boe’s an hour. If you do places like SFK you get a whole pile of twink items to a sell on AH, and it’s a very fast linear clear path as well as a fast jump reset route.

yikes, talk about slow boosting.

Ive dont it myself and several up to 35.

you basically quests up to lvl 5-6 solo then u get your main to boost you through quests untill u hit lvl 16-17 and start doing dm till 19. (and yes u need a full group of lower levels that at max dont have a higher lvl than the mobs u are killing)

From 19 u will do stockade untill lvl 29-30. U can do some quest boosting in between if u want to keep your sanity, but just focussing on stockade will be faster.

Now I’m not sure yet about the best route till lvl 32 which is when sm lib will start give decent xp which u will do till 35 or so.

rule of thumb is to aim for being a max of 4 lvls under the mobs u will be killing, if u go lower the xp wil be a bit too low.

Apart from the time required to get to the instance, the xp/hour difference between SFK and the stockade is fairly low up to level 25 due to the fact that you spend a very significant part of your time being instance capped when doing the stockade (about 10 minutes per hour). You’ll therefore struggle to break 30k xp/hour in the stockades (not counting rested xp).

In SFK you also get instance capped, but not much longer than it takes you to go to Pyrewood Village and vendor stuff. SFK also provides significantly better loot and a lot more gold.

In addition, if you are a horde player it’s a waste of time trying to get to the stockade.

Just spend a few hours boosting yourself in dungeons. With the top-notch gear you’ll always have, you’ll pretty much destroy everything while questing normally.
