How to know what to keep, vendor/AH or save for later?

Hi!

I’m currently grinding with my level 10 rogue (herbalism/skinning), leading to full bags of stuff relatively fast. I’m not really a veteran (I was like 13 and confused during Vanilla) so I don’t have the “routine” down when it comes to many things in the game. During leveling I usually equip everything that’s better than what I have, but then I get confused after “vendor all grays”.

I will go into alchemy later, but does that mean I should bank all the herbs or is it better to buy that stuff later?

Do you have any ruleset/experience to share when it comes to what to vendor/AH, disenchant or save for later?

I’m kind of a hoarder because I don’t want to vendor something I maybe want later, but I still get the feeling I hold on to too much crap.

Do it now then you will know what to sell when you don’t need them anymore.

Vendor Grays sell everything else on the AH, make a Bank alt and send everything to it. Also get an Auction addon.

There are several auto vend junk addons which save time. Buying bags at Ah can be pricey but keep an eye, more space saves time.

Save quest rewards that you think you may need later on, as there is a time restriction the restore items thing can go back to. After that GM’s won’t assist.

I’m grinding up to 40 and start with some questing then, but I will keep that in mind when starting!

If you find an item that’s white it’s useful in some way for a profession or it could be used for rep. Go to wowhead classic website it can tell you what the item is used for.

If you plan to go alchemy later you might as well start now because skinning is not that great for making gold. Alchemy is better if you craft and sell the right potions.
