How to play classic both on US and EU

I wonder if there is a way to play Classic/(TBC) on US servers besides EU not wasting tons of money coz of dollar cost nowadays, as subscribtion on US servers costs double more then on EU for me. Is it maybe possible to use your account purse on EU to pay for US sub or something?
Also, do you have to buy the full game, or anything besides 30 days sub? Would love to hear something of that sort from people who experienced these “shenanigans” already.

You only need a subscription to play classic so you don’t have to buy the full game.

Blizzard balance is region locked so you can’t buy a NA subscription with the EU blizzard balance.

EU and US accounts are considered seperate and so you’d have to pay for them both seperately. Fortunately, you could have both accounts open and online at the same time, unlike using your EU account for both Classic and Retail.

Furthermore, you don’t need to buy BFA or Shadowlands in order to play Classic, you just pay for a sub on a seperate account on the other server.

What currency do you use? I know Russia got a cheaper subscription but using that currency is locked to Russian accounts, but EU’s currency costs 10% more than USD for me, so the monthly cost is pretty much the same.

I call shenanigans.

EU blizz game store sells 1month for 13Euro per month
US blizz game store sells 1month for 15$ per month
I don’t know how can you pay double the amount if u buy US subs…but anyway!

some sites sell US-game cards cheaper than blizz store does! (8~11$)
so you can actually get to play classicUS cheaper than EU.

Oh well, I didn’t know that, yeah I use russian currency so seems like the cost really differs only for russian. And so subscription in $ or euro would cost much much more for us anyway as russian rubl is very low, that’s why it is a problem.
Regardless, thank you for that information!

RU blizz store sells 1 month for 6.8Euro (549 rubles)
That would be how, but I believe that it’s actually the same amount in terms of average salary in Russia, which is quite low, at least greatly lower then in EU countries and USA.

Thanks to everyone’s replies clearing out how it works, appreciate it!

EU subscription nowadays also comes at 549 RuR price which seems very nice to me.

Except it doesn’t, it’s twice that. EU’s sub costs €12.99 for 1 month lock, €10.99 per month for a 6 month lock. You can check the conversion to rubles yourself.

Yet it does. I have recently renewed the subscription to EU account for 549 rubles exactly. Please take a look at the screenshot below.

Ahh sorry. Have no idea how to attach the picture and/or hyperlink here.

You do not need to converce the currencies since all Russia-based clients (users) are paying fixed subscription fees in RuR.

Just copy paste it and use the preformatted text for the link. It’s the top left of the main keyboard ` in the UK or you can highlight it and press the </> in the text box.

Thanks a lot! Sorry for my clumsiness.
Here it is https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Uaxo/5r4YokrnP

Just because you did it via the English version of the website, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t for a Russian account.

Yap, you have a russian account so it’s not the same

Indeed I do, but I play on EU Classic and Retail realms. That’s what I am talking about.

Edit: I reread the topic and finally realized where I got confused. Please disregard the abovementioned.

I wondered how do I get on US servers too because I wanna know.
