No gladius, no battleground enemies, no dr tracker, no big debuffs, no omni bar. How we will play PvP in Midnight? The answer is we don’t. “Sharks” will still find a way to bypass those restrictions by having some programs and other stuff and casual players will be more clueless then ever before.

I mean I have been playing without pvp addons for years, and game will be a lot more simplified, I doubt you would need them.

Aren’t they basically saying that they will bake the information these addons provide into the standard UI so that you will no longer need addons?

Just get on with it? Ive played for 20 years and never used pvp addons. Use your brain instead

By using our brains ? Also no addons means people will stop playing perfectly and it will spice things up in Rated PVP.

im stil playin without a single addon for pvp, got only details to check dmg heal nothing else, and stil manging to get 2.4, tho this season as c tier spec enh sham went 2.2 :slight_smile: so im happy that all addons are going away, its gonna be way better for the game :slight_smile: btw its awesome to see how clean my screen is when i do play (:

The game will be a lot more fair for everyone and a lot more fun. Midnight give a better PvP experience, not just because of no more addons in PvP, but because every class is gutted to the bone, so no more button bloat, no more endless CC spam, slower rotations.

We likely not have memeburst facerolls anylonger, instead we can actually play the game for once without getting oneshot.

All of this is presumably, as it’s subject to change.

They are simplifying the game? Really? They remove 1-2 spells from every class. That is it. While since df to midnight they added 4 classes to the game, thats almost one class every other season.

Anyone who thinks pvp is going to be easier is in for a huge surprise.

Been playing without addons other than a dmg meter since 2004-2005. With an 80% random bg winrate and without actively premading. Addons arent a good cope or solution for a skill issue problem.

Learn to have awareness and l2p. Training wheels are off kiddos, maybe its finally time to really learn the game.

u can´t see enemy cd without nameplatecd if you can see they don´t have trinket you can poly and take the flag for example, i don´t use many addons but some are essencial,wa to listen when your healer is in cc in arena battlegrownd enemies to target your enemy and see where they are… you can´tplay pvp properly without this addons

You can…and this might be a bit controversial, but you can use your eyes and see where people are.

You can’t see where they are if they are to far or behind a building, you can also confirm if they are in invis if the bar doesn’t appear or if they are dead… the game should have included this a long time ago

You can actually tell, you can check your teammates’ frames and see if their are taking damage in x location, you can furthermore see it on the map, that’s your intel, congratulations, you now know where the enemy is.

Yes, you can definitely know where the 40 enemies are in epic bg thanks to the damage your teammates take. Good luck to target the healers and fc as well…

Agreed.

Some add-ons have become pretty invaluable & make a huge difference / influence big decisions in BGs.

Personally, I’m a really slow/messy typer. By the time I’ve typed “4 inc @ LM” -someone will have capped it. Easier & more efficient (for me) to click a button to report incs.
Then, as mentioned, BGE for tracking stealth / FC’s / key enemies…

I have a feeling it’s going to be a bit of a clown-fest, to start with.

I’ve never used any addons in PvP, apart from recount.

You don’t need them, unless you don’t have eyes.

Even better, you can just ping them to see where they are.

There are no flag carriers in epics :face_with_raised_eyebrow::thinking: and in terms of healers, you don’t need to kill them, all it takes it’s a cc, the rest depends on your team’s performance.
