How would you force game designers to play their own game?

im talking % not overall numbers its quite obvious that on a shrunken Pop its obviously less people in each part.

however… its pretty obvious, PvP Players are unhappy, even Ion stated hes “Re-evaluating the pvp gearign systems”… so if blizz is aknowledging it is obviously a real thing.

Im sorry, but the pvp community have been quitting this game in a pretty hefty quantity for while now

I get what you’re saying, I really do. There is obviously a big difference from doable to optimal, and you cannot be optimal in raids or in m+ without doing the other thing as well. And I get you basically cannot be competitive at high enough level without them either. But there is a difference of scale: to get the top rewards from m+, you can stick to just m+ and if you don’t suck at them, you eventually do the +15 dungeons. For raiding, it’s even easier, the only thing that you are denied if you do not also do m+ is that your gearing process is slower, but you will eventually get up to a gear level that allows you to complete the mythic raid if your guild is capable enough, even if you collectively decide to not touch dungeons at all. For pvp however, 2400 rating is maybe achievable without touching pve, but if it is it’s only so for 3k rated players, basically for blizzcon quality players. Not for your dedicated but not absolute top tier pvp player. Those need to farm pve before they can get up there. And this brings us to the second problem: while pve difficulty remains static, which allows you to eventually catch up to it even if your gearing is slower, pvp difficulty does not work that way. If you fall behind in gearing, you are actually weaker comparatively than you were the week before. That’s basically why systems which awarded pvp exclusive gear were nice, and imo required, because a) they had a cap and b) you wouldn’t become weaker over time for not doing pve.

I know the damage to m+ isn’t near the damage they’ve caused PvP gearing.

My major concern is in a expansion or 2 will we see m+ as damaged as PvP.

That’s majorly the reason why this “vision” of theirs needs to stop. They’ve enforcing a playerbase to play the game the way they want them to for the sake of a eSports.

PvP is beyond broken and hopefully they do fix it and revert the issues they’ve caused themselves.

They blamed the changes “needed for PvP gear” because players were taking PvP gear into PvE content… they’re now blaming m+ for raiders gear swapping.

It almost feels like this is the WoD moment of m+ gearing… where it’s currently fine ISH, yet completely destroyed in the expansion after.

I fully agree with you that PvP gearing needs attention now. But my concerns with m+ are mainly its future rather then the current state.
