There is no justification for stopping lvl 80s from using howling runes. The only feasible conclusion is that people are using these in abundance because players are reluctant to pay the ridiculous auctions prices.
Everything in this game is becoming very much aligned to selling tokens. Is the subscription not enough?
Of course not, despite a couple of price rises over the years, accounting for inflation they’re well down in real terms… new CEO needs a yacht too you know and inflationary pressures means it has to be bigger than the last one’s!
Played since Wrath… only time I bought a token and cashed out was in Shadowlands and selling mats was insane and that was paying with gold lol… Again what do you need in game gold for?
The DF runes were a slightly worse but affordable option to weapon runes that doesn’t exist in TWW. The TWW versions (mana oil/stones) cost null stones to craft, the blacksmithing version is literally 1600g to craft at the moment.
It’s utterly ridiculous when repairs are 150g per death, even the cheap flasks cost 300-400g, and weapon stones which used to be a low cost consumable easily farmed item are now also hundreds of gold.
We get 50g for completing a dungeon. It should be 1000g for completing a M+ dungeon.
I didn’t know Wow was pay to win but if it is, of course?
Ever since the first private server first launched those lousy lowlifers have been making money off of Blizzard’s product, literally every lousy person tries to monetize World of Warcraft for their own benefit, private servers used to make and ungodly amount of $$$ from people donating to buy items on the servers, they could buy Shadowmourne super expensive but then they’d steamroll through arena, and don’t you remember how big chinese gold farmers were?
Why do you think they implemented the Wow token in the first place?
It’s only fair that they do all they can to monetize their own game first.
Fun fact: Blizzard learnt about a couple of people running a private server that was almost a copy of World of Warcraft, they hired them.
The private servers were set up because Blizzard refused to do it themselves. It was not about making cash, although some went down that line; it was about providing the entertainment people were asking for.
Blizzard hired those people because they knew it would drag all those from the private servers into Blizzard’s servers. It was a no brainer. 90% of the work was already done. All Blizzard had to do was provide a server to run it from. People were wiling to pay for a decent service. Classic was so much of a success that they went on for more expansions. Are those people still around for the subsequent expansion releases of classic?
WoW tokens were introduced to offset the damage bot farmers were doing to the game. People could not feasibly farm, because some bot came along and stole the node as you were mining it. They should have addressed the botting abuse rather than implement a system to make more money. Give me back botting abuse every day of the week over the way this game is being abused to make more money from its supporters.
I play the game, I get 50g for completing a dungeon. You got more gold in a dungeon in Cataclysm where everything is 1/10 the cost. Maybe if you played the game and did literally any kind of group content, you would have a clue.
Dude you run delves with suboptimal gear, no crafted, no gems, scuffed enchants and no consumes, you don’t even play the game. Anyone can have gold if they literally don’t spend it on anything, you’re so clueless lmao.
Also, 1million gold is not a lot of gold, you have less gold than I have. Go actually play the game where you need gold and then come back, until then you don’t have a clue.
“Gold is not a problem for me, the only thing I do in game is farm gold and play trivial content so I never have to spend it” That’s great dude, you’re a living human bot.
You’re toxic as hell from your very first post. I don’t care if you’re crap at the game, but don’t get involved in something that you know nothing about. Toxic casual.
You refuse to party with anyone. Raiding, rated pvp and M+ is how you get good at the game, if you do nothing challenging you will never have to build skill. The chances of you being skilled at the game as a solo player who just goes around doing trivial content and farming gold is exactly zero.
Calling me a “M+ Bro” as some sort of insult is also really desperate, you have a chip on your shoulder and you love to make sure people can see it.
