Human melee crit sounds ('battle cry')

I’ve observed a subtle difference in the ‘battle cry’ accompanying human white critical strikes, specifically in Vanilla and Classic WoW. In those versions, every white critical hit produced a distinct melee crit sound for Humans. However, upon the launch of TBC Classic, I noticed that this effect no longer occurs consistently with every white crit. I’ve since returned to playing SoD and observed that this behaviour persists.

It appears that if another sound effect coincides with a white melee critical strike (e.g., the Sinister Strike or Eviscerate sound), the specific racial sound associated with the white melee crit will not play. This is a departure from the previous behaviour, where a white melee crit sound played no matter what.

While not a major concern, I used to appreciate the variety of sound effects in Human melee classes. I’m curious if others have noticed this change and would like to hear their thoughts on the matter.

Yet another small betrayal of Blizzard, step by step, very little by very little, making Classic go further away from the #NoChange it was supposed to be.

1% is very small.
Yet 100 times 1% is 100%. Small bits add up. We’re losing Classic.

Good observation. I don’t play human so I wouldn’t know. From my side tho, they broke windfury animation even further since Classic (where it was broken already), it barely shows any visual effect anymore now. Also, Shaman weapon enchants have completely lost their visual effect circling around the weapon that normally happens.
