Hunter bug (?) - Feign death trap

Hi everyone,

I decided to post this question since I haven’t found any answers yet.

Is it intended for hunter to not leave combat anymore upon casting Feign death? I’m sure I could recall a brief window of leaving combat back in the days to drink or re-trap a target.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, FD trap was possible in Vanilla, but can fail quite easily if something goes wrong. Also depends on what type of combat, and if your pet is in combat.

Doesn’t feign death have a “chance to work”?
I played a hunter alt in vanilla, remember getting murdered when feign death didn’t work.

Note the survival talent “Improved feign death”, reducing the chance that Feign death is resisted.

thanks for your answer. As I recall it could indeed be resisted, altho, tho I’ve tried it many many times in dungeons to fd/trap or fd/drink but it never seems to work. I also dont remember having my pet attacking affected this. It’s kinda a big issue for me since I love the strategic and reactionary aspect of in combat trapping.

Hey, atleast you can still kite world bosses towards cities and stuff like that.
