From what I can remember, you couldnt have a macro do a cast sequence in vanilla, and you couldnt lay a trap until you actually recovered from feign death (by moving), I think.
Should work man, there would be more hunter tears if it didnt but I don’t have feign death to try it. I also dont like that macro but still.

I tried to do a big Pet macro that feeds and revive and call pet. And that didnt work, had it when i played private servers it was great

Yeah i’ve been looking this stuff up now, probably should have done it before launch but I dont understand macros that much

Yeah I don’t know what it is about it, I just dont like it, maybe because it feels slightly less placed in a position and more just randomly put down. I miss alot more when I used it
I tested it in a duel: I’d CC them, and i would be able to FD+Trap BUT if they weren’t CC’d (and still not attacking me, just standing there) I can’t lay a trap. My pet wasn’t attacking the target (passive). Also if i was at range (20+ I got the same results)

Im a hunter from 2006 , and i use this macro all the time with no problems at all.
Here in 2019 somehow blizzard made it bug out.
We will see a fix , or els this is not hunter vanilla gaming.
And yes hunter need this fix , or els I’m going to a PVE server. We can’t fight rogues and warrio atm.

Really should work and will be a nightmare for us until it’s fixed. Hunters are hands down the most bugged class atm, I’ve submitted about 7 bugs alone in game. Will be interested to see if anything actually gets done or weather I’ll end up with a gimped level 60

Why isn´t there a bigger outrage on the topic? One of the classes signature moves is not working at all and we´re not talking about sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn´t. It´s not possible at all.

Yep, getting pretty tired of the inconsistency as I am getting charged by a warrior at least 5 times a hour while leveling. Official acknowledgement would be nice, this long silence is implying they aren’t planning to do anything about it.

Correct you hit it on the nail fd is to try and trick the mob or player into thinking you are dead but as so many know how this works we can’t be fooled and in say pvp will still attack anyway because if you highlight the dead hunter who is trying to trick you, you can see the fd icon on their health bar and is working as intended.

Unfortunately private servers are different to classic wow so you might have to experiment with different macros. I do have two macros one for damage and one for feeding and one for sending pet oh that’s three silly me. I will test them tomorrow givern the time but so far all my other classes macros have worked fine.

I’m speaking as a vanilla hunter (not private) and it was easy to use FD+ trap in 2006! In pvp and helping the healers in dungeons in pve. (Trap the mobs , who attack them )

I mean there is no need to even rely on memory anyway when there are tons of videos from vanilla where the spell functions like we expect it to and not like it currently does.
People like Riotblade and Goingnome are either trolling or spreading misinformation on purpose.

Macros in classic seen to not accept scripting as they did in vanilla, there are some premades from new API you can use though. This is the new feign/trapmacro i’m using
