Dunno but I’m sure that Stamina and Intellect is good for many Classes and Classes like Priest and Mage can Buff people with those so, If they don’t buff Hunter and Pet with Stamina Buff for more Health, and Hunter with Intellect for more Mana then that is a weird guild/server.
In many cases Hunters need to kite mobs so they being hated seems un logical.
Well yeah that is totally different then being hated by players and not getting any buffs from everyone lol
You must also take the pet into account. Pets can get Pala’s Might buff, Warrior’s ap buff, the 30 strength consumable from winterspring (60 ap) and more. It doesn’t make a huge difference if the hunter gets the ap buffs, the pet or the warrior or the rogue.
See the pet as another melee class that does low base dps but benefits from buffs like all melee classes.
I can’t say for locks but I can tell you why Hunters are fun in a short list. That’s by no means all of it just some talking points in no particular order.
Pros:
FD. Magic get out of repair bill free card. Has a small chance to fail but you can also use it to break combat when you need to.
Pets. You will have quite a list of things to do in that department. Also hunting a rare spawn can be an experience like no other. It’s rewarding and infuriating at the same time…
Decent PvP.
Good for solo content. You can get away with things most can’t. Soloing is fun for me personally and enjoy doing it.
A nice epic quest. Good luck with that on a PvP realm…
Tracking. If you pay attention it will save your life and make someone’s day miserable.
If you play alliance you don’t have shamans to fight with over some gear.
Aspects. You get a speed boost of up to 36% when you are leveling.
BM and MM have different things to offer we don’t talk about SV until Naxx.
People will like you more in AQ for the Nature res.
You can pretend to be a lock but with druids only.
Cons:
Dead zone. You will hate that thing like there is not tomorrow. Good PvPers will know how to exploit it.
Quiver. One bag less don’t even think about it.
Ammo. You will need to restock a lot. Keep some in your mail box it helps a little.
Pet food. As if the quiver was not enough you will have to dedicate a few bag slots for pet food.
Getting blamed for things you did not do because someone played with a bad hunter that one time…
In general hunters are easy to learn and hard to master. The class is fun. In the end pick what you think suits you best. Have fun!
Yes T2 doesn’t give much to 1 hunter aside from possible better PvP stats but what it does have is a bonus set ability that improves hunter damage for all hunters in raid. This gotta make up for it
The idea is to have 1 hunter.probably the worst dps of all hunter in raid to get prio on all T2 to improve damage of the other hunters . If 1 hunter gets prio it shouldn’t take long before he has hes set ready.
Because I mostly play Solo, I guess for first 60 I will choose Hunter since fresh lvl 60 Hunter is stronger then fresh level 60 Warlock and I want to farm gold at max level and I don’t like Mage that much.
Since as solo player I won’t have access to awesome gear any time soon, Hunter seems a better choice first, and then Warlock.
I wouldnt recommend warlock over a hunter if you mainly solo things.
A warlock might be faster to get multiple targers down but its for more effort and can lead to graveyard specially on pvp realms. Do not try to get most of the class like one warlock I know who got 96 keybinds, fingers of a pianoplayer and is more concered of his shirtcolour than a pets well-being.
