Probably a noob error but I have a cat on my hunter, toon is lvl 18, cat is lvl 18. I have been able to spend pet talent point on things like Growl, Stamina, Armor and so on.
My friend has the exact same pet and level but only has growl, no other pet talents to spend points on.
What has he missed that I didn’t?
Is his loyalty the same as yours? You get points for loyalty aswell.
Edit: Theres also the chance he hasnt visited the pet trainer
What I noticed is that you get new skills in 2 ways, 1 is by taming different type of beasts, 2 you visit pet trainer and you might have some skills there.
Its this exactly, thought he had but obviously not

“Oh, my pet can learn Dash now? Ill learn it later…” 14 levels later. “Man, I really need to get next rank of Bite and still need to get Dash…Later”
Yes 1 pet training points pr lvl, pr loyalty lvl. A newly tamed pet will have no points, if they have a skill from before they will h ave negative points. And they can only learn growl, that doesn’t’ require points. A lvl 20 pet that is unruly, will have 20 points to spend, but a lvl 20 pet that is your best friend will have 100 points to spend.
