Hunters solo farming DM tribute ?

In your opinion - is it a genuine classic experience, or should it be nerfed somehow?

Yes, solo farming tribute as hunter is authentic. But the amount of players who are doing it now versus during Vanilla is not.

Ask your friends who were playing during Vanilla, a lot of them only get their epic mount during TBC even hunters because it was not a well known method.

Anyway it’s gonna stay a #NoChange no matter how hard it break the economy and create inflation. I’m already leveling an hunter alt to get easy golds.

Basically, it is just abusing ramp pathing. There are NPCs now (ogre ghosts) on it, which are red, but not aggressive. Just need a SMALL fix…

Whats wrong with farming tribute?
Basicly all other classes can in some way earn gold in dire maul. Jump runs, lashers, satyrs, dogs etc. Should this be nerfed as well then?

ALONE is a key word here

You inject too much gold into economy even by vendoring tribute loot.

You are making lot of other content obsolete, as you can “sell” those items to other players, making them easy to obtain.

As result, how many players, who just did 15 dungeon runs to get their drop, which is INFERIOR to your 8 min solo tribute run loot will just spit and quit ?

I think, thousands.

So, the initial topic must be named “WHY HUNTERS ARE ALLOWED TO SOLO DM TRIBUTE?”

In my opinion all farming methods (i.e. not just DM solo runs) using pathing errors should be fixed. It´s obvious abuse of bugs and the content was obviously not meant to be played this way.

Actually I would like to see that nerfed too. Believe it or not I do not AoE farm. It´s just boring. I am not min/max kind of guy so I don´t care that I don´t play the most efficient way. I like throwing frostbolts so that´s how I play. It´s just the game and I play it to have fun. And not to have lots of virtual golds. That does not really have any real value to me.

Mages can solo first boss DM. Your point is not valid.

Warlocks can solo DM east completely, pair that with mining and you got ~200g/hour. Nerf nerf nerf!

How is pathing a bug?

What about kiting mobs by jumping down ledges etc out in the world? Or slowing mobs? LOS’ing casts and so on? Are these also “bugs” which need fixing in your opinion?

It´s my opinion and you are of course free to disagree. But I strongly believe dungeons are meant to be a group content and 60 lvl dungeons were not designed to be farmed by single players.

It would be better for everyone if players were forced to create groups to farm dungeons. It´s mutliplayer game after all.

And surprisingly I don´t observe such issues very often in the world. Firstly you don´t really need to abuse it as the non-elite mobs are easily killed anyways. But anyways I often pull mobs down below and in the world they have no problem climbing to get to me no matter how steep the terrain is. But in dungeons however the most dangerous elite mobs can´t climb a little step. It´s just weird and feels unintended.
