Is it just me or are mobs just not respawning!?!? Its taking 30 minutes to kill 10 mobs for a quest now its crazy. Can we please do something Blizzard?
As far as I can tell it’s a dynamic system based on player number and alive creatures.
The latter can be funny in places, either because there are very few spawns so they just keep coming alive even if you’re alone in the world (Darkshore cave with level 30 worgen, the absolute #1 mage farming spot in that range), but also the other way around, there might be a second place with identical creatures alive.
In my experience there is a dirty spot in-between where creatures already take 5+ minutes to appear, but there are still enough players per 4-5 overall spawns. That’s how Buzzbox 323 took me 5 calendar days (mornings): I had to camp a single location (like everyone else) and progress the quest by 1 item every 15-30 minutes.
To be frank I found the best WoW experience is when you’re completely alone in the zone. You can roam, kill stuff. Part of why I love to be behind. I didn’t kill anything above level 48 outdoors in Classic 2019 - I tried to, I simply didn’t find any.
Hyperspawns - "HEY Blizzard!! FIX THIS SHT! I died plenty of times because of this … "
Also Hyperspawns - “HEY Blizzard!! Where Hyperspawn is?? Bring it BACK NOW!!”
Yea well … the system is based on how many players are in the same zone of the map. The more, the faster the spawn is.
So if you were …solo or something, the spawn is in the normal timeframe. Aka…Vanilla.
Welcome to Vanilla!
Worst thing when you’re alone in a zone, quietly Questing, and then Whammo, Hyperspawn - and why? Because some Raid is taking the FP across your sub-zone!
I would much rather die because of the luxury of having respawns than sitting and competing with 10 other players for low drop chance quest items on the 10 mobs possible to spawn…
