I am almost 59 and still have plenty of quests to do

There was no questie in early Vanilla so it wasn’t really feasible to find all the quests. There just wasn’t a route available for doing that. I did all the quests that I could find and I still ran out of quests in two points. One near 40 and another at around 57 to 58.

In Classic I didn’t do nearly all of the quests because the zones were so insanely overcrowded that it just wasn’t fun to do all the quests. Despite that I never strictly ran out of quests. I find it difficult to believe that this difference is only about questie.

Qusstion is why would you do quests 57-60, if you even had them? 55-60 is dungeon time baby. Doing quests at that level is a huge waste of time, baring like 2-3 quests you get pre-bis stuff.

I have never set foot in a dungeon, have used questie since the start and pretty much the only quests it’s showing me now are all dungeon ones. I think I have two for EPL one needs a raid apparently (not checked it so not really sure) and the other one is something similar, outside of those I appear to be done.

I am now 59, about 10% in, but have been grinding since pretty early in 58. I have even looked at doing some lower level quests just to lessen the monotony, although I don’t really mind the grind as it’s not particularly taxing just boring.

I didn’t have time to do any of the end game zones before dinging 60. At 56 I started to run BRD to do all the quests I had there, and then I went on to do Stratholme and when I returned my last Stratholme quests, I dinged 60. I Did Fellwood quests and some in Winterspring, but really, theres way too much stuff to do after level 55 and maybe not so much at 40-55.

Yes I use questie, but mostly just as a reminder of which quests I have skipped due to full questlog.

No I usually only go for questmobs, I dislike grinding.

No, have been in 5-6 dungeons and done quests for 3-4 of them.

Yes I did most of the elite quests either solo by fear juggling or in groups.

The worst time in Classic on a large PvP server is the 30 to 45 range. Reason is that so much of questing in that segment is in STV, and that zone is beyond awful to level in. Initially because there were more players than mobs there and now because in addition to that you have level 60s ganking.

Not only STV, but also Hillsbrad and Arathi.

So the only time grinding was required in some fashion was before the first patch and it only got easier to level leading upto 1.12 so anyone who’s grinding who isnt a mage doing it for money are either doing it out of choice or are just struggling to find quests.

First off, questie didnt exist. Its very likely to not find the grind quests (leading to uther) in EPL. I also don’t remember so many quests even existing in Winterspring. I could be wrong though.
Second, you would run into quests for Scholo and Strat. Somewhat tired from levelling, and eager to be 60, spamming those dungeons is tempting. It is what I did back then, and actually did again this time (though only 59-60).

Or you’re leveling so slowly you end up having a lot of rested xp…

Well I can only speak for myself, but back then I didn’t use or know of any Quest helper addons so I did miss a ton of quests. And the usage of addons like this makes a huuuge difference.

Give this man a cookie. Rested is hell of a difference.

You know thwt there are higher lvl mobs in the game right?

I just did dungeons from 58-60. There are a lot of quests in those, and BRD and LBRS are some of the best dungeons WoW has ever had.

I did not even touch Western Plaguelands, Eastern Plaguelands or Silithus before I was 60. And barely touched Winterspring and Blasted Lands and Burning Steppes.

It is a myth that there are not enough quests, which may stem from early Vanilla where it could be tough to find enough quests post 50. But they rectified it over the course of Vanilla.

I did all the 58-60 quests when they were orange or red so by the time I got 58 I had no world quests left so I ended up grinding the last 2 levels. I’m not particularly fond of dungeons so I didn’t do many as I levelled but I have to do some now to gear up.

If the mobs are green as level 55 you’re in the wrong zone.

Iam in the perfectly fine zone. No pvp, mobs drop nice cash + skins.
All highlvl places are contesned in soem way.

Well then you can’t complain that the mobs are green.

I’ve never had to grind in my life, even back in 2005.

Not particularly. Rested XP ony effects experience gained from killing mobs. Sometimes I log out in an inn, sometimes I don’t.

After having levelled up 15 characters between 2005 and 20011 I just know where to go and what to do in order to find the all the quests I need.

OK, some of the very very early patches in the beginning of 2004 might have had a few less quests, but seriously, how many people posting on this thread had a L60 character in 2004?
