It’s the damage of everything added together. Not only the aoe and blood siphon. Like, we just melted once aoe and blood siphon activated at the same time, there’s no outhealing that even with CDs when other mobs are still alive. I had hots on everyone, including a sotf wg, I gave the tank ironbark, flourished and then I convoked and we still just melted, our hp just wasn’t going up even with convoke and then we died shortly after.
Given how I’ve watched well over 20 junkyard runs now with zul’gamux, I’ve seen exactly 0 groups pull him so far together with that pack, I doubt that people pull them together.
I’ve also checked logs and I haven’t seen a single log so far where they are pulled together. The zul’gamux pack seems to be putting out 30-35k dps just single pull and the crawler pack does like 20k dps. So, if those numbers from logs are correct, that’s some 50-55k dps if you pull both of them together, you’re not doing 50-55k hps.
edit: Over 30 different vods now and there’s been 0 pulls of zul’gamux into the crawler pack. Why is everyone avoiding it if that’s something you do? Why am I not seeing it happen in any logs I’ve checked so far?
There’s absolutely no reasonable argument you can make for pulling the Zul’gamux pack with a crawler, most definitely not on fortified, and absolutely most definitely not on bolstering, and most abso-flipping-lutely not in a random pug in a +22. It’s bad play no matter who makes it. The pack itself hurts even without Zul’gamux, which is a prio target, so adding a second prio target with a large HP pool makes no sense because you’ll just want to full focus Zul’gamux anyway, and on bolstering, the crawler will guaranteed get bolstered because the small trash will just die to cleave first. So what you’ll end up with is two high HP prio targets that both do massive AoE, one of them bolstered, but you still only focus one anyway. Your “just used big healing CDs” argument doesn’t work either, because first you’d have to somehow sync up the shock coil with blood siphon, and then somehow kill the crawler before another shock coil. And all the while you’re hard focusing the crawler, Zul’Gamux is happily blood siphoning to full HP.
Popping lust on this doesn’t make sense either because you could just lust either a boss, or a much safer and more valuable pull. There is no reason to pull crawler into Zul’gamux pack, period. Chain the next pack instead if you want to chain.
And just because someone did a +30 definitely doesn’t mean they know what they’re doing, which applies tenfold in a dungeon like Junkyard. A DPS player can easily do a +30 Junkyard without knowing anything about the route or using their brain.
On a +20 it is just doing over 10k per tick. So technically you do not need to heal on that level. That is also why i said it depends on the keylevel. But yeah, healing everyone 5k over 6 seconds is not a big deal either.
Except OP is right when he says that if you take out depletion, it becomes a numbers game on spamming the same key until eventually you get a group good enough to make it

You seem to think 12k is “just over 10k per tick”. It’s a difference of 12k damage per target. I have 85k hp.
If it was: 10k per tick, 6 seconds. 60k damage per target = 300k damage done during the aoe, in 6 seconds.
+20, that you linked: 12k per tick = 72k per target = 360k damage done during the aoe, in 6 seconds.
From a +22: 15k per tick = 90k per target = 450k damage done during the aoe, in 6 seconds. THAT’S 75K HPS YOU’D HAVE TO DO OUTHEAL THAT ALONE WHEN IT HAPPENS DURING THE FIGHT AND PEOPLE AREN’T SAFE TO JUST BE HEALED JUST ABOVE KILL RANGE.
Then add in your statement of:

No. Absolutely nobody is pulling the crawler pack with the zul’gamux pack.
You do not seem to understand you do not need to top every player literally every second of the dungeon.
I am not suggesting people should pull a crawler with zulgamax. But this player probably has done it before. Should he do it in random pugs? No also not my suggestion.
You think people are going to survive 90k damage done to them in 6 seconds by just one single mob, while fighting another pack, if I leave them just outside of kill range for the zap? No, they need to be brought well beyond just outside of kill range for the zap to be safe.
Just zul’gamux blood siphon and the zap going off at the same time, if the blood siphon lasts the same time as the zap, does 113k damage over those 6 seconds to a single target. That’s 678k damage to the group over 6 seconds, without bolstering. Then there’s other mobs that are alive and fighting as well.
It is not my suggestion. But we have definitely pulled the crawler by accident together with zulgamax and lived. On voice you call defensive on the zap and a cookie/healthpot. Totally fixable. But no, i would not schedule this as pull.
You are just pulling stuff out of your axe. I probably have done it on 21 fortified 2 chesting and 23 tyrannical 2 chesting. Don’t try to make me know nothing about this dungeon. Press your defensive and healing CD and make the best out of it.
Provided there’s no other damage intake, which isn’t the case. Look at the your own log. The blasters are randomly hitting you with Shot for 18.8k Add to that the 3.4k ticks from Blood Siphon, 12.2k ticks from Shock Coil, and 40-50k random hits from Scrap Cannon. You have to keep everyone quite healthy to make sure they don’t die from random damage, also assuming they take no avoidable damage, and provided the Crawler didn’t get bolstered.
I really don’t understand why you chose this as the hill to die on. It’s just not a reasonable pull to do compared to other, much better options.
