I do not want to be only because Blizzard locked transfers from Mograine to Golemagg where all my friends and roster play right now, not even mention my girlfriend is there because she transfered one day before they locked it and I wanted to do it one day later (paid transfers)
No early info, nothing. Just suddenly locked paid transfers in a midway
Havnt played since Classic. Just popped in to see all my chars moved to Mograine which is 90/10 in horde’s favor. I tried to go into Hellfire and got chain ganked by everyone from newly created DKs to bored 70s.
So to put it short, all my chars have been moved to a realm which is unplayable due to faction imbalance.
Talk about being stuck on Mograine lol….
Its unfortunate but not permanent. It was kinda predictable though given the large queues on some servers and lag.
No advanced warning avoided mass xfers also. I expect it was mainly to stop Gehennas paid xfers to Golemagg and just moving the problem there.
At least Mograine is not a dead realm.
For me is dead since all my “wow family” is on Golemagg and waiting for me

That’s a good question. When it will be unlocked. I wanted to prepare during prepatch with them or at least few days before WOTLK starts
will defo not be unlocked soon as golemag will have serious queues during launch week, your only solution is to create a new character there and prepare it before launch. Else you are screwed.
How the hell you can’t join your them? Just create character there, leveling to level 70 takes 3 days right now.
What about gold, gear, rep, mounts, riding skills?

Nothing wrong with the advice you have been given, there is a perfectly good reason golemag is closed,
So stop whining because you wanted to wait for the very last second before transfering.
It was kinda impossible due hospitalization, not mention transfers were locked without any warning, maybe if they did warn, my girlfriend would manage that but day later I was at home and it was too late.

Peoples stories are irrelevant here, yes real life happens, but i feel its kinda pointless to come complaining on a game forum that real life came in the way of your gaming

Some people abused free character transfers meanwhile I cannot use paid transfer to play with my guild, gf, family…
People who never transfered or in last year should have unlocked atleast one paid character transfer per acccount
The silly transfer shenanigans that allowed people to hop over several realms was indeed beyond stupid that they didnt notice, but that aint got nothing to do with this topic.
The fact is that these realms were closed for a very good reason, to avoid mass transfers that causes huge queues like we see on some realms already.
I do not expect free transfers which usually cause swarms of massive transfers, just small window to do paid transfer from Mograine.
I never did transfer before on my account which is few years old, people like me should have that option atleast per one character even if there are restictions to prevent massive transfers from abusers
If free transfers was the only problem, they would just disable free transfers.
Stop asking for special rules that only applies to you, there are thousands of players that never transfered a single character before, myself included. They also want their own special rules in some way.
There was a 2 month long transfer window, with a set end date (aug 10th) i understand that it sucks for you that you missed it. now you just need to have some patience until they reopen the transfers, or simply roll a new character to play with your friends and transfer over your stuff later.
I disagree but you can have your own opinion. I would not call wanting to play with my guild, gf, friends a “special rule”, it should be common standard. Wish you the best.

No that it is not. But requesting that blizzard open only a transfer for YOU, is asking for a special rule
